Nah man. I re-watched that vid. Dude freakin holds his head down, smacks him, and then stomps away. IDK what you mean by EDS trying to "break his back" because I didn't see that in the replays. Besides, a pileup with bodies being tangled at the OL and DL is pretty normal. Ndamukong Suh losing it after that? Hate to see it when an OL actually does start something.

Hell, Ndamukong Suh is the guy that pulls him down in the first place.

Refs? Victims? How about the player take it on himself to not play dirty? Why doesn't Aaron Donald get called for penalties? Or Gerald McCoy or any other DT in the league? Ndamukong Suh has a rep, and rightly so.

That being said, if he does sign here I'm not gonna cry and complain, but I'm not gonna be uber excited either. I will be hoping he plays like a good soldier and not living on his past rep.

I’m on my iPad, but when I can get on my computer, I’ll try and post a pic to illustrate what I meant. It’s pretty clear in the pic.

That’s the point. We have 3 defensive starter holes to fill. One of them being filled by a high quality FA would really help. I don’t think there’s much left in FA for Edge/OLB so looking for NT or ILB. Personally I thinks Hankins would be better fit due to cost, age and NT fit.

Suh is a better fit because he's much more talented. People keep confusing Wade's 3-4 for the Fairbanks-Bullough 3-4. Wade doesn't want a space-eater. Yes, Suh is much older, but if we get him on a short-term deal, that's advantageous for us.

Nothing wrong with it, just an observation lol. And tbh, the updates are kind of nice from a fan perspective.

Lol I was thinking the same thing!! Nearly every Suh update is thru this guy, gotta believe that’s intentional. If I didn’t know any better, I would've thought this guy was his agent haha

This relationship with the strength coach and interest in the scheme are close to meaningless.
He will go where he is paid the most.
Possibly, he's also said the opposite. In the end anything we say is just guess work. We'll find out the truth, maybe, when he signs somewhere.

Visiting Raiders tomorrow. Gruden will be certain to pitch him the Sapp super bowl and also playing next to Mack.

Gruden is a good talker and has taken teams to the big dance but he also has a Fisheresque record and not the team the Rams have. What is their cap looking like?

The Sapp super bowl was 15 years ago. Wade Phillips was DC of a Super Bowl winner two seasons ago. And Donald was DPOY this past season. And the Raiders lost 10 games last season. Yes they have Gruden now - but Gruden's been out of coaching for a while, while the Rams had the coach of the year.

Basically, only if money is what matters will he go there.

The fact is that the Rams are already playoff ready and he could be a big piece yet not the main piece of a SB contending team.

It’s not a given that he is seriously after only a ring but if he is genuine in that goal, our chances are better than most in landing him.

Gruden is a good talker and has taken teams to the big dance

Team to the big dance, he took the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl and won with Tony Dungy's defense. Gruden's DC in Oakland was Chuck Bresnahan and their defense was atrocious. Yes the tuck rule cost Gruden a chance to take his Raiders to the Super Bowl, but the Rams would have destroyed that team, much like the Buccneers did a couple of years later.

The cap space listed for 2019/2020 seasons does not include Donald's mega-extension. Does not include Gurley, who has yet to be locked into his 5th year contract, does not include Goff's 5th year contract for 2020, does not include the OL, etc etc. That cap space is actually indicative of how many players need to be signed - in a league that has just seen a huge increase in free agency prices.

The Rams can sign Suh - however, the cost of that would be losing players they may wish to keep in a year or two, as they wouldn't be able to front load Donald's contract as much if at all. That is something I'm sure management is trying to balance.
This front loading thing everybody keeps bringing up. Doesn't the more they put in the front mean more of a tax percentage for that year? It might not be in Donald's best interest to get to much in the first year, right? He would want it spread more evenly so as to not take a bigger than necessary hit. Or once it gets past a certain amount it doesn't matter? Just wondering. California has major taxes, it could also effect weather or not Suh chooses the Rams. I believe Washington state has no state tax for instance.

He's going to be in the top bracket regardless. Better to get the money sooner, so he can make money from investing it. Better for the Rams since they are going to have Gurley and Goff getting huge contracts in future years.

But during the holdout last year, there were reports that Donald wanted major front loading, and the Rams just didn't have cap room at the time.
