Hoecht registered three combined tackles, two sacks, and a tackle for loss. Hoecht continuously generated pressure.

Appears much more than a Rotational defender IMO.
His problem will be the contain when we face quicker QBs and a gameplan to test that edge. But yeah I am extremely impressed with him and this is the second consecutive game too, as he played very well vs KC. :thumbsup1:

I wasn't glued to the game as usual. They played with effort.

Tutu has soft hands. He can get open on anyone. Take the kid gloves off and get him the ball.

Wagner was possessed.

Hoecht got good pressure.

Keep getting the bench playing time and see who steps up.

Rams let me down.....

Dolphins let me down....

Chiefs let me down....

Will someone make a wellness check on me in a few hours please?
So what you’re saying is you would like a catheterisation, and a colonoscopy. I’ll send someone right over for that.

This defense has failed over and over again to stop the other team from making a scoring drive when it counted, all because of the type of defense Morris runs that allows a ten yard cushion between the WR and the DB. The Rest of the NFL and the fans know it, so why don’t the Rams know it?

Lotsa good things. But yeah, Tutu made a helluva catch, then a nice TD...if he'd have got both feet down, not to mention a couple of first downs on jet sweeps.

I kept waiting for a fake jet right, a fake to the RB with a roll left and a bomb down the right sideline to Tutu. Then I remembered Wolford has an arm with a 25 yard limit on it!!

Geno Smith was 6th in the NFL in yardage coming into the game and the Seahawks were 4th in scoring.

AND.. the defense out there isn't great.
How about the great Andy Dalton and Jimmy G having big days against us ? There’s nothing good to say about our defense, or lack there of

What we learned today.....

Brandon Powell can read where to gain yards.

Tutu Atwell has game. No fluke.

Hoecht can play as well as anyone in that position.

We discovered three players that make us better.

Add some health and some tweaks here and there, we are there.

i actually thought our pressure on the QB was a bit better today.
Yeah... It seemed to me we hurried the QB more today than maybe any other game this season. And still our DBs were lost on way too many plays.

I don't really have much I care to vent about.

It's clear to me that our backup QB position is.... SO bad. I mean, I knew it wasn't a position of strength, but wow. Why should a defense even cover anything past 20 yards?

I liked what I saw from TuTu. He even tried to truck a defender at the end of one of his plays.

There were some bright spots and we played hard. That's all I gots.

It was. And still the pass defenders sat at the line to gain and gave up chunks of yards all day.

Frustrated Head GIF

The defense is missing one starter...Donald. A big loss, but for crissakes they showed once again their late drive passive defense prevents wins.
One starter?
Not to be presumptive, but, are you a Rams fan?
They're missing Donald, Robinson and Lewis on the front.
Hill and Fuller in the back.
5 starters.

If you want your defensive hot takes to be taken seriously, I would suggest knowing who's on the field.

not sure what falcons def personnel from last year has to do with anything.

I agree there are some holes in personell for sure.. but i also do not think morris best spot is def coordinator.

But its also on mcvay because this soft shit is prob what he wanted.
Falcons personnel in 20. My bad.. yeah, it was bad.

I *have* the receipts on Morris.. if he has the personnel, he is more diverse and attacks more. He also consistently added to the scheme from the start of last season to the end.
When he doesn't have the personnel to attack, he plays softer.

It's been that simple over the last year and a half.

He's playing Kendrick and Long with Scott and Rapp.

What do we really think is going to happen?

They shit the bed against the Saints. I've said as much.

The Niners have beaten the Rams like a fucking drum.. whether it's Morris, Staley or Phillips. Show me where I'm wrong.

Well here's more shitty news. I think the retirement talk is a real possibility depending upon how much it's affecting him. No cure for this type of injury. Hope I'm wrong and he recovers fully from this.

Dammit. Yeah he would be kinda reckless to continue to play with that injury.

2023 might be a struggle season as well

Don't tell Jeff Fisher that lol......scary to think he was the only one able to at least win one a year against them. Problem is he sucked for a lot of other games. McVay should hire him only for the Whiner games.
