Unfair doesn't include mistake by an official.Seems like the Rams can protest?????
Rule 17 - "Emergency" Provisions: The Commissioner has the authority to investigate and take action if a game's outcome was affected by an "unfair act".
Remedies: If a protest is upheld, the Commissioner may:
Order the game to be replayed from the point of the error.
Reverse the game's result.
Adjust the game's timing or score.
Senile bastard should have retired 10 years ago rather than bitching about the length of games from the booth.I've added Al Michaels to my no-fly list right next to Collinsworthless. When I see his sorry ass on the sched I will either have the sound off or the spanish feed. Because I wanted to choke the fuck out of him last night. Believe that.
Thought I'd askUnfair doesn't include mistake by an official.
Unfair act would have to be where they prove the official changed the outcome of the game on a purposeful act.
And proving that is extremely difficult to do unless you find out the official placed a bet on the game.

They always ruled the play dead when the whistle blew. Always. Even the players, both the Ram AND the Seahawks, heard the whistle and stopped playing. This... coupled with the 4 points the Rams lost with that horrible call "offensive lineman downfield" at the 1-yard line and took the touchdown away screwed us big time.Yeah we blame the refs (and I'm game for it because fuck em) but this is really a rules thing. They technically called it correct, but man it's insane they can blow the whistle, signal the play dead and then say it isn't dead lol. In hockey, if the whistle blows the play is dead and I really think they should treat it that way in football too.

Watch this shit and tell me the refs weren’t against us last night. Look at these fucking idiots doing extra. Fk them lol
A whistle stops the play, inadvertant or intentional. If in fact whistles blew, the play is dead at that point.I think ( HA HA)
The whistle is irrelevant.
Nobody can argue whether it was a fumble or not. It was.
The rulebook :
Stafford :
Look up McVay's record against Seattle and its not like we didnt beat the Whiners by 16 at their place last time we played them but if you want to crown their ass then crown them
YepThat is absolutely how it works in the NFL. Whistle blows plays dead end of discussion.
And the fucking guy is indignant about itSo the whistle ends play. Except when it doesn't....
That is beyond fucking absurd.
Where was his indignation on the fake ineligible player downfield call? And the fucking guy is indignant about it
What an asshole
McAuley that is, not you
Later in the thread:So the whistle ends play. Except when it doesn't....
