I was pretty disappointed in Stafford’s performance in this game.

Then I remembered this fact: He has thrown 27 TDs this season.

…while throwing 2 INTs.

That’s 1/2 as many INTs thrown this entire season than by Darnold in THIS ONE GAME.

….while tossing 27 TDs (did I mention that?)

Let that sink in.

Stud. Bad day ,2 TDs and no ints. Devante could have really have helped Stafford and the team with those 2 drops of slightly off target throws. NFL Pro Bowlers need to make those catches.
Good enough to win when you play your rival who have the Cowardly Lion at QB.

It was a true veteran performance. All the greats have these. A bit off and facing a defense on their game.

You have to have a level of patience in not forcing stuff. Cut your losses and trust the defense a bit.

Darnold was the Antithesis today to Stafford's approach. Darnold forced stuff.

The only thing that really bothered me about our pass game was the last incompletion to Davante where we could of sealed it. How on God's green earth does a play get called (in such a critical situation) and the QB and WR are not on the same page. I understand choice routes and all that but it reminded me of when Kupp and Stafford would be on two different pages.

I put this one Mcvay. Call a damn play that you have practiced 100 times and QB and WR know where the ball is going.

It's not rocket science. Or maybe it is. :rolleyes:

I would have thrown the screen to Nacua on 2nd down.
The Rams were an incredible punt away from a devastating loss.
…but the defense played great and as usual, a big game between two good teams came down to mistakes/missed opportunities.

Rams showed they’re a legit contender to win a tough game like this.

The number one statistic in determining the outcome of FB games this year in pro or college is turnovers. The Rams won that stat big yesterday. Its a good thing because Seattle won just about every other stat for the game by a lot. Some of you are missing the point that Seattle is good and their record isnt a fluke. Yesterday's win could be the reason the Rams dont have to go to Seattle for a playoff game. Take wins however the team can get them.

Agree. No way this game being so tight was on Stafford.
And yes, the TE blocking was weak. I was ready to sing Allen’s praises for how good he’s been playing this year (most improved?), but he did not block very well yesterday.

Sometimes you have to tip your cap to your opponent. Seattle is no joke especially on defense. We could of been sharper in some plays and Adams didnt help when needed. Would of liked more runs to the edge as that seemed to be open. Make Murphy and Williams run a little, they are studs up the gut. We got the win, so now we need to make the adjustments when we play them again. Also if they are going to play man we need to go 11 personal.

That was a drop by Davante. And I agree, he makes that catch it all but seals the game.

Lots of comments about the Rams, Stafford, McVay, TEs and drops ... mostly reasonable thoughts.

Not much mention of the Seattle Defense ... I think that is a terrific unit, with impact players at every level ... with size and speed that is highlighted by their physicality, and maximized by a terrific defensive head coach.

Probably the best defense we'll play all year. Stafford protected the ball and I thought looked really good in second half but just didn't get the opportunities due to stifling defense and plays like Davante dropping the ball on what would have been a huge play killing drives.

I wasn't disappointed at all in Stafford.... He did well in spite of the below:

Stafford had to deal with Corrum not being able to get back to the line of scrimmage on any of his runs. Had to deal with Adams not catching balls. Had to deal with the Nacua's fumble. Had to deal with McVays horrible play calling. Had to deal with the defense letting Seattle march down 3/4's of the field on almost every possession. Had to deal with TE's whiffing on blocking assignments.
