Well ... not so fast ...

McVay said the same thing after the Ravens' game, and Nacua did not play the following week against JAX.

Adams said after the game (same post-game press conference where McVay made the above statement) ...
"It was biting a little bit in the game but it's feeling better now. We'll see how it goes next week."

I stand by my statement. He's gonna be fine

Not sure if anyone noticed, but the guy calling the game (Not Brady) seemed to favor the whiners, albeit not blatantly.

Ferguson's arm was being pulled while the ball was in the air. The announcer called it a drop. A Rams player was being tackled and while out of bounds, a whiner player comes over a plows into him while out of bounds. Announcer says I didn't see anything there. And there's a few others but I was like, WTH? If the shoe was on the other foot then what?

I had the game muted....I refused to listen to Tammy.....honestly, I find myself much calmer not listening to play by play unless it's a decent crew (which aren't many honestly)
She was actually quite complimentary of Stafford as much as when ESPN kissed his arse.

Lots of positives from this. The 13 formation success feels good because it's like we finally construct a roster to do something...then actually go out and do it....and do it over the course of more than one game. The 13 formation helps us run better, and and with a diverse group of TEs...actually with Ferguson or Davis Allen out there, it's like having a big WR...

and also... Forbes is playing really well the last couple of games.... I've to to say, I'd really like to see McCreary worked in ahead of Williams...D. Will gives us veteran depth, but honestly Forbes, Durant and Lake as the Hybrid is our best set up....get's Kichens on the field..and bringing McCreary in gives you speed and an athlete...

Forbes continuing to improve gives is a nice secondary

Someone mentioned they didn't think Devonte worked the middle of the field or he was shy there and that didn't seem to be what I saw in the games - dude just runs in breaker after in breaker after in breaker game in and game out which the below seems to imply:

Next Gen Stats Insight for Rams-49ers (via NFL Pro): Even leaving the game late with injury, Rams WR Davante Adams caught six of eight targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the 49ers. He was productive on in-breaking routes, catching three passes on four targets for a season-high 51 receiving yards on such routes – his second game this season with at least 50 receiving yards on in-breaking routes, both coming against the 49ers (50 yards in Week 5).

He's our backside dig guy this year!
I mentioned that and he's not going to last if they rely on him to move the chains over the middle. Adams is a big wideout, but not quite big enough to handle that beating. He ain't Kupp. Nor is he Nacua. Both those guys do better across the middle.

Adams has complained before publicly about QBs hanging him out to dry over the middle. You can see he hears footsteps. He has alligator arms when the DB is behind and he's unsure.

Look the dude is a great wideout. I've plugged him plenty. But he is best served working the sidelines and deep routes, and sure hit him on in breaking routes or crossers here and there but it's time to transition some of those big bodies into that chain moving role over the middle and I am glad to see McVay doing just that.

I want Adams fresh and healthy for the postseason run.
