In the News conference McVay admits, he made terrible calls
He did at the end. Those 3 runs then a 35 yard punt easily could have lost the game. The 3rd down run up the middle was the worst. It got us 3 yards when a short 8 yard pass, 1st down could have just about won the game right there.
His nuts shriveled a little, but we won the game.
Stafford and Puka seemed a little off most of the game too.
They need to on it next week.
Get past them and I think we win it all.

I just got another look at that Kmet TD and he definitely pushed off. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE BROADCAST OFFICIAL DIDN'T THINK IT WAS!!!

Obviously no one else in the crew had a view of it.
It was ticky tack.

If the situation was reversed and they'd have called that for OPI, everybody on this board would be going fucking mental.

I genuinely don't think it should have been called as OPI.

Having said all that, maybe if you use all caps during the game, you can get the refs to change their mind about any dodgy calls when we play Seattle

Durant playing this so badly... why are you trying to grab and "post up" against a guy much bigger than you?

I hope to god this isn't the technique he is told to play.

can't really call this a push off - Durant was grabbing him and kmet discarded him.

I don't think it was OPI

HOWEVER i've seen a lot less of a push off called OPI before.

inconsistency is the nfl officiating moto.

I heard early in the broadcast, that Chicago was the only team in the NFL with 2 RBs Swift (1087) and Monangi (783) gaining over 1,000 and 750 yards. And I thought, "wait a minute...Kyren and Corum....". But Kyren had 1252 and Corum just 746. Another pair with good numbers were Seattle's Walker (1027) and Charbonnet (730). But of course, now they're just 1. And of course, neither of those pairs had as many combined yards as our 2 (1998)

More of a case of a 6-5" 255 lb TE hand fighting with a 5-11 175 lb CB. I also don't think Durant believed Williams was going to get the ball there. I think for a moment he misjudged it and drifted to the front of the endzone or at least didn't fight to get back to Kmet.

Exactly.

Durant is a pretty talented DB, but you cant expect him to mix it up with a big TE or any of our DB's for that matter.... I was more upset with Lake meandering around in the endzone covering nobody.
