Wagoner? I was talking about Myles though he was more of a JB Long predecessor
Last two beat writers were actually Jourdan and Vinny. Myles was more of a media sideshow pony. But it's funny how far we have come since Wagoner's sorry ass.

No love for Bernie?

Question: When Lake interception the football on the 2-point conversion play. Why doesn't that count as an interception?
According to the search thingy:

In the NFL, an interception on a two-point conversion attempt is not recorded as an official interception in the player's statistics. The play is considered a point-after-touchdown (PAT) attempt, and as such, no individual statistical credits are awarded for interceptions, fumbles, completions, receptions, or yards gained during the attempt. The play is simply scored as a failed or successful conversion attempt.

You realize his age is a double-edged sword? If we're using that as a basis to trade him away before he declines, another team would use that same point to give us something less than a "haul."

FWIW, Brian Burns was traded a few years back for a 2nd, a future 5th, and a swap of that year's 5ths. Of course, this was after the Panthers turned down 2 1sts from the Rams. Burns was 25 when traded.

I think we'll be disappointed on what we can get for Young.
I dunno boss. Yes he'll be 30 -- in 3 more years. But, atm, he's 4th in sacks w/ 1 less game than 2 of the others above him. He arguably has less treadwear than the others -- he was 25 when he was drafted, and he's 27 now. He's ascending, with 9.0 sacks with 8 games left to play; 1 sack / game = 17.0 sacks. He had 8.0 & 7.5 sacks his 1st 2 years.
Brian Burns? never had more than 11.0 in his career.
T. J. Watt? averaged 12.5 sacks in 9 seasons.
I think it's entirely within the realm of possibility that we could get a 1st for him this offseason.
