Well the comedies I liked before 2000 in the 80s and 90s

Airplane
Best of Times
Used Cars
Princess Bride
Waterboy
Happy Gilmore
SOB

And for this century

I really liked Dodgeball and Happy Gilmore 2
It predates 2000 but for my $$ it’s Animal House (1978). It came out my junior year in HS and left its mark on a 16 year old (toga parties, Otis Day, massive drinking, debauchery and tits)!

Animal House probably the best pure comedy all time. Certainly MY #1. Its why i made the category "this (21st) Century. 20th Century comedies far better than 21st.

CBS Sports has a 2027 early mock. Now I know this is somewhat meaningless, but it does show that the top 6 QBs could be off the board by pick 14, as was the case a couple years ago. So if the Rams are picking 28 or later, they would have to burn multiple picks to go get just the 6th best QB in next years draft. BTW, they have the Rams picking 32nd and taking a RB from Missouri. I don’t get that.

In that loaded draft class I'd be majorly disappointed in a RB in the 1st round. A LOT of talented Edge/WR's coming out next year.

Ahmad Hardy is an absolute beast. Some of the runs he had last year were insane. His contact balance is elite and he has the speed to take it to the house.

Like I've said, if it aint Arch, Im happy with Ty versus the others. ESPECIALLY since it only cost us our pick, versus costing us the absolute BAG next year.

This is a comedy movie thread now. Please take your football talk elsewhere.

Jori Epstein on the Yahoo Pod made two interesting observations: 1) she was with Cleveland on draft night and when talk turned to Ty Simpson later in the draft for them Andrew Berry said something to the point that it didn't matter, the Rams were taking him at 13.

Also, she mentions as some of us have that with our load management program with Stafford during the offseason, Ty will be getting a ton of work with the 1s during OTAs and training camp so we will know very quickly what we have in him and what needs work.

I think the movie that made me laugh the most was probably Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, where of course I was stoned as hell. With comedy there's many I like but they're not really that funny, so I agree with 503 on Tropic Thunder. It's entertaining but if I want to laugh it's low on the list.

Good example would be the Ace Ventura movies. I love the first one but the second is way funnier.

As I get older I also like to watch the older stuff like Gene Wilder flicks. Young Dr. Frankenstein is brilliant. Also some of his other films were really funny like Frisco Kid.
When I was a teenager there was a old movie threater, one of the oldest in the county that would have mini movie festivals. We would get a bunch of friends with plenty of girls in the bunch and go to Mel Brooks shows, Silent Movie, Young Frankenstein and the great Blazing Saddles played back to back and THAT was a good time for all.

Silent Movie was such a hidden gem of the Mel movies. High Anxiety was great too.

As a Brooklyn native I must admit I AM partial to Woody Allen over Mel Brooks (both Brooklyn)
