The Rams and Chargers are not drawing like they thought they would right now. That could change of course, but the NFL isn't currently grabbing people in LA.

Las Vegas will draw if the Raiders are good or bad, they will probably sell out because of the appeal of Sin City for fans from all over. Cold weather teams for sure plus Denver and KC aren't that long of a flight.

The crowds could be 50-50 every week!

Well maybe not because LA and OAK are close enough that the crowds should be mostly Raiders fans.

Will likely be tons of visiting fans.
As for a better weekend trip for a game it depends what your into and whether their are kids coming or not.
It gives the Raiders an advantage in FA as well.
The NFL really screwed this whole moving thing up.

Moving out of Vegas probably end of the year, but projects like this are why I'm going to clear a lot of diniero when I sell my house. Californians are pushing up the price of houses at an insane rate right now. :D

They did introduce him! I took the photo and McVay was honored to meet him. This was at the Eagles/Rams Dec 10th 2017

Yeah they really did some damage to "the shield". It was a bad look all around.

Here is SWFL there are people from all over the USA, so you get perspective from an overall point of view not just the "home team" side of things and having three teams leave fan bases high and dry sits well with almost no one. The general feeling is that the NFL will fuck over anyone for money and that they don't care about the fans.

Which IMO is the truth.

As far as the LV or LA thing most people would pick Vegas, but I'm not sure why free agents would. Why do you think they would prefer Vegas over say Miami, Dallas or another city? I'm curious........

Well, if you're a young guy about to get a nice pay raise and you can go to Vegas? Please. The social scene, club scene there.
No state income tax.
Let's say a guy is 25, single and a mid level FA.
He offered 2 years $5.1M from Cleveland, 2 years $4.9 M from Baltimore or 2 years $4.4M from Vegas. A lot of guys would take a little less to be a star in Vegas.
Depends on the player I guess.
Just like anything else.
But for a young dude making a bunch of moneynin Vegas seems like fun.

Well from memory the only guys I recall taking pay cuts are at the end of the line and chasing rings or coming off of serious injury and there are question marks.

Other than that they almost all go where the most money is..........no state income tax helps for sure.

No way of knowing of who took what when.
I would think tax situation would sway low/mid level guys more than huge money guys.

Just off the top of my head - no congestion, no humidity, no bugs, no state income tax, no snow (although doesn't apply to Miami, Dallas or LA), local skiing and hiking, world class restaurants, shows and gambling (if you're into that).

LV offers the same things most big cities in the south and west offer. And there are casins in many, many states these days. There are 4 here in FL.

I'm not sure LV is a big draw for FA's, but it will be for fans of other teams for sure! Especially cold weather cities.

Name a couple cities specifically. And while I only mentioned shows and gaming at the end, comparing some warehouse with slot machines to Las Vegas is so ridiculous as to not even warrant discussion.

And I was specifically responding to your Dallas, Miami and LA reference. Quit moving the goal posts.

Whether FA's care about this stuff is another question - I suspect not near as much as the general populace.

Agreed. I wish I didn't have to move, but the wife and kids are behind this one and after so many years of pullin them all around the world in my duties I owe it to them. But yeah I effin love Vegas man.

It's also great for retirees, btw. Once you get past 50 years old the deals to eat cheap start. Senior citizens basically can eat world class buffets for peanuts. Buddy of mine is a retired Navy guy as well and eats at Silverton for like $5 so most of his meals are there. It's crazy.

If I were a player, and a young single one at that, I'd snap up one of the condos overlookin the strip and live large. And when you look at the value of the player salaries, that no state income tax benefit is enormous, you're talkin millions saved. It would be hard to beat.

There are casinos, fully functioning just like in LV, all over the USA. There are literally hundreds and hundreds now. There are three back in my hometown of Cleveland. As soon as Native American tribes were allowed to start casinos with outside funding the industry exploded.

See for yourself, you'll probably be stunned at the number.

I get it and it has cut into business in the neck of the woods I am.
But, tribal casinos ain't like Vegas.
