If I’m reading it correctly, he’s got one year left (2022) and only $1.5M cap hit. I guess that’s fine.
Yeah, veteran depth if rookies we draft need a year or two to develop. I'm not the biggest Hill fan when it comes to coverage but I'll give the guy props on the short pass and run defense because he can lay the wood for his size.

I hated the guy once... had that duck stink all over him... :laugh4:
However I think this is a good move for all!

It says something that the Rams will take him back and that he'll come back.

Great depth at CB now... but wondering who steps up to replace Williams as the #2 CB.

Long, Rochell, Hill, Durant, or (maybe) Mathieu?

Wut, you’re not a Quacker Backer?

Hill (and JJ to a lesser degree) really unlocked our secondary versatility in 2020 and allowed us to maximize Ramsey's usage in both Star and outside. Hill can play inside and outside and most likely immediately becomes the starter on the outside in 2 WR sets and starter at nickel in 3 WR sets with Rochelle or Long competing for outside play time.

If you think Rochelle still needs some seasoning (and he needs plenty IMO), this is a great way to protect him as he continues to learn the pro game.

Savvy move.
