I dont recall ever seeing a player throw a haymaker that connects with someone's facemask like that, but I've seen tons of facemask calls where the contact was suspect
As a homer, yeah... I want the flag on that play.
If the circumstances were reversed I'd think that was the miracle our defense needed to keep us in the game.

Hell of a defensive play? Yes.
Foul? Yes
Was it called? No

Fuck the 9ers.

Ok, but same question, have you ever seen a player punching at the ball, but hitting the runner instead called a penalty?
In the facemask, snapping their head? No, I havent
I've seen lineman swipe at the QB, miss the ball and make slight contact with the facemask and get called for a penalty though. Tons of times. (Unless it happens to Stafford who seemingly needs to have his head ripped off to get a flag)

Right, but you know a QB in the pocket is different than a running back running the ball.

Right, and the topic was a punch to the facemask causing a player head to snap. I dont have any examples of that but felt the one on Kyren should have been a penalty and find it bizarre that its a debate with Rams fans. Alas, the Kyren detractors

Don't get me wrong, I agree it is illegal and should have been a penalty. They just aren't going to call it.

It’s funny that Im maybe the only fan here who wants Kyren moved to RB2/co-op to make room for an elite back, but it’s not because of the fumbles.
