That is pure bullshit and conjecture. This isn't a school yard, we don't need to make up rumors.

Goff started dating his girlfriend before the 2018 season and they became public a few weeks in, but sure as soon as he started dating her he stopped caring about football. He only leaves her for weeks/months during the offseason to train, while she's doing her shoots, clearly the man doesn't care.

Dumbest fucking takes I've ever heard regarding his backslide, it reeks of jealousy.

Your avatar is amazing, haha.

Goff didn't accomplish it himself because a QB can't accomplish anything on their own. The entire make up of the team is different.

For me, Stafford is already better than Goff ever was. Trade is already worth it. Draft picks are severely overrated.
Never said he did but the accomplishments the team had with him at qb can't be denied and if Stafford is such a upgrade then the team should accomplish more no? It's funny the same ppl who were saying jg was holding the team back are the sme ppl just waiting to make excuses for the "upgraded qb". I don't need excuses I need results and the better qb should lead the team to better results. Idc how he does it just do it. I'm expect the team to go forward not backwards and I'm not buying any excuses as to why the team didn't go forward. Just win baby.

Goff and the Lions have also tended to start slow. I think this one is going to be a thorough beatdown.
Jared, caught moments ago on a a secret Goff-Cam....

In 2020 we were 4-2 at this point of the season and scoring 25.3 ppg.

Thus far in 2021 we are 5-1 and scoring 29.8 ppg.

You are already seeing improvement and there's reason to think you're about to see a lot more.

I continue to say that bad QB play makes an O line look worse than it is. Goff was not good last year and seemed to be getting worse as we went along. Loyalty to our formal players is great and all, but give me a break.

Some of that is true, but I don't think anyone can argue that he made Blythe look worse while one can easily argue that the reverse is true. The fact that the Rams let Blythe walk with no sure replacement at the time speaks volumes. And nobody anywhere on the spectrum of the QB debate can say they would be happy going into this season with Stafford taking snaps from Blythe. Goff wasn't good most of the time last year, but he sure as hell got absolutely no help at all from the center position.

Honestly, what's Goff supposed to do there? No one open and can't take off and run for the first?

He should have thrown it downfield and hoped that it was intercepted...That would have been far preferable to what he did...Turning it over on downs intentionally is just freaking stupid...Of course if the defenders had an I.Q. higher than a radish, they wouldn't catch it but it had a better chance than his choice...

Idc about regular season improvement I only care about post season results. Who cares if we go 16-1 and lead the league in scoring if we get bounced in the 1st game of the playoffs? Stafford can play like total garbage throughout the playoffs and if we win it all I'll be the 1st to say the trade was more than worth it.

Either way it doesn't matter what he did. The game was already lost so who cares? It was a mental lapse from jg and that's it. It happens to the best of them just last year the goat forgot what down it was and if I remember correctly the game was on the line when he did it. I could be wrong though.

The goal posts are where they are. People have made their stances quite clear at this point on what they think needs to happen as a result of this trade. Y'all are wasting your time rehashing that fight. Let sleeping dogs lie. Enjoy the season.

Rams injury report: Sony Michel dealing with shoulder injury

The Rams returned to the practice field Wednesday, beginning their week of preparation for the Lions in Week 7. On the injury front, the Rams aren’t in bad shape, aside from Johnny Mundt and Jake Funk being placed on injured reserve.

Sony Michel is the only player who’s banged up heading into Sunday’s game against Detroit, being held out of practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury. Sean McVay doesn’t sound too worried, however, saying it shouldn’t prevent him from playing this weekend.

“We’re fairly healthy injury-wise. We’ll hold out Sony Michel today with his shoulder, but don’t expect that to affect his game status,” McVay said.

Below is the full injury report, which also shows that Terrell Lewis and Andrew Whitworth got the day off for rest.

The Rams will host the Lions on Sunday afternoon, with kickoff set for 4:05 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium.

I can get on board with this relative to 2020 - the make up of the team has still changed even in a year though. That means we need to make the NFCCG to see those better team results. But even in saying that, the NFC is better right now than it has been in several years, so even saying we should see better team results in 2021 is tricky because so many things have changed. It's just not the same.

Relative to 2018? We had the guy who won OPOY on the team and he's not here anymore.

The only starters left from 2018 are Woods/Kupp/Whit/Hav/Higbee and AD on defense. With that much change it makes zero sense to think the two situations were at all similar.

Yep. Plus, a QB and an OL can both be bad. Which is definitely the case right now in Detroit.

Also, please..... PLEASE show me these examples of people saying Goff sucks. You act like that sentiment is rampant here... It's not. You see what you WANT to see in order to keep whining
There are at least 4 people on this board that have pretty much stated that Goff sucks with their negative comments.

Not going to name names.

We all like to have fun with the drama of this game. The Goff haters are licking their lips lol.

Truth is The Goff/Stafford trade is justified if Stafford can win a Super Bowl, otherwise we wasted massive amounts of draft capital and mortgaged the future in vain.

Here is to Stafford playing his best ball in the playoffs :clinkingbeer::clinkingbeer::clinkingbeer:and doesn’t roll out that shitshow we saw vs the Cardinals.
This take seems to suggests that the Rams were somehow guaranteed to win a Super Bowl with Goff at QB had they not made the trade.

It seems to totally disregard that teams and circumstances change every year and the potential improvement of said competition.

It also overvalues 1st round selections which will probably be at the bottom of the round (where the the success rate hasn't been very high), and seems to assume that their future use would be guaranteed to be successful.

Finally, there seems to be little to no thought regarding a benefit on the Rams side of the trade in the organization getting out of a bad contact (Goff).
