Think he'd be a great fit... but also thinking there's a world where he and McCoy could be gone by 13 (to Dallas and Miami as you say) and not sure I want to trade up for him.
Agreed. So if he's not there at 13, TAKE SIDIQ. Think of the 12 personnel packages McVay could develop with he and Ferguson with Puka and Adams. And Williams or Corum on the field as well. With Stafford. They would eclipse last year's pts/game by 3-4 pts. Sign or trade for a vet CB and take the best available DB at 29. GET RIGHT ON THIS, SNEAD!

I don't know that I love Sadiq at 13. Seems everyone saw his numbers at the combine and just decided he was 1a in this draft next to Mendoza. I'm a little skeptical. I'd like to watch some games of his first.

But in this draft I could see a dude like that going as high as 9 and as low as 20ish.

As things stand today, I think Mansoor Delane is the guy I'd target at #13. And I'd be willing to move up a few spots to jump Dallas and Miami to land him. Even if we sign a top CB in FA, we still need help at the position. Delane is a perfect scheme fit and has All Pro CB potential. He is great in zone coverage. His ability to trigger and close while in zone coverage is rare. Outstanding awareness too. Good ball-skills. He's also very skilled in press man due to his fluid hips and acceleration. Though, he does have short arms.

His weakness is physicality. He'll step up and do his job as a run defender, but he doesn't revel in physicality. Pile watcher. But I can live with that from a CB with his cover skills and athletic gifts. The fact that he will come downhill and hit guys when they run to his side makes it easier to swallow.
Yeah I think the value of Delane is getting the biggest need out of the way right out the gate. Because I like him but I don't think he's enormously better as a fit for this team than let's say Johnson. Now granted I'm really high on that corner because of his skillset being things I want to see in this scheme. But way I see it the picks at 13 and 29 sort of work in conjunction.

Meaning I really like the corners at 29 to our second round pick range. Also I really like the Edges that fall in that range. So I'd want to get both CB and Edge done by that second round pick.

Which means the pick at 13 could be whatever. Best player on your board. Or just get corner over with at the top, in which case the weapon for McVay probably ends up in that 29 to second round range, which of course receiver still looks real nice. I really like these wideouts through round 3.

Lastly if the Rams were to move up to I think it was 8 (iirc can't recall the exact one that lined up with points) or thereabouts they could give up 29 and get a round 3 back, in the event they really like a player in that range. So they'd have the same number of picks and could still address one of their need areas quite well. Their needs seem to line up nicely through those first three rounds, I just hope they can find a NT at some point. I think that's an important need as well.

I’m a Duck fan. Sadiq is legit. I think he is a stud TE that would do quite well. He is a freak. He was my favorite player and was in-large part responsible for many of the wins when we lost our star WR.

Nick Harris who is the Cowboys beat reporter for the FTW Star newspaper said in his column that based on info he got at the combine has crossed McCoy off his list at least through pick 20, didnt elaborate. So assuming the Rams have the same info I wouldn't expect him to be the pick at 13.

Gee. I'd take him at #13, but I wouldn't trade up for him or anyone in this draft class. Not from #13.

I’ve lived through enough NFL seasons to acknowledge that NFL Combine measurements can legitimately increase or decrease a players value in the Draft. But it pales in comparison to game tape.

Actually, if used properly I believe the kid could help tremendously as a matchup problem that would even open things up more for others.
Yeah, if Adams falls off, this kid gives you another big redzone target as well as a big play threat, who the very least, takes focus away from Puka, Adams, and or Ferguson.

I guess I am in the minority here because I would like to see the Rams take Ty Simpson and have their QB of the future learn for a year behind Stafford before taking the reins. Also, I do understand everyone wanting to go all in for 2026.

Interesting, I hadn't heard this. Depending on the info, I'd be open to trading down to 20 and snag a guy that could be a star CB. Worth the chance IMO.

The more I consider the possibility the more I am convinced that we need Jeremiyah Love.

I also haven't seen anyone banging the table for a run at Linderbaum in FA. I cannot be the only person who is salivating at the idea of an elite C and an elite RB and the impact that would have on this offense.

I like Sadiq even though I am not sure that he adds the biggest positional or overall team upgrade when compared to other players and positions.
I watched him quite a bit and also went through some highlights and it confirmed what I saw in game.

Positives are I have no concerns about his hands as some do.
I also think he has great body control. He is a very good blocker and physical.

Things that just make me a little skeptical at 13. He really doesn't show many big plays on tape (break away runs), he tends to find the traffic instead of space after his catches. It could be partially due to the Ducks playbook and his role or maybe he just believes in his strength and physicality like his body style suggests.

For some reason he never looks 6'3" against smaller DB's and shorter LB's he squats a bit I guess, not sure what it is, but again that could be due to the playbook and many of his catches coming relatively close to the LOS, because when he is stretching the field he does extend his arms and catch the ball higher.
in comparison guys like Fergz and Park look huge when they are catching the ball, Ferg is 2" bigger but looks way bigger than Sadiq
catching the ball.

I am really interested to see how he gets used in the NFL. Size and speed of a big WR but plays like a shorter TE with the NFL average around 6'4 1/2 and growing.

I don't know about needing Love but if he is there at 13 I would be real surprised if he wasn't the highest ranked player on their board by a wide margin. I expect him to be gone by the 13 but if he ends up the pick I certainly wont cry about it.

He’s the only player in this draft that I would trade up for….

And what do you do when he comes in and ineffectively shits his pants due to the NFL rush. I don't think his chances of hitting are that better than the rest of these boys in this class. He's got real precision in his footwork and I like his accuracy but the dude is like the used car on the lot that is twice as expensive as the others which offer many of the same things.

Also believe it or not I don't hate him. I just want to see the Rams go get some damn defense in this draft and we already have things like WR and OT potentially derailing that. If we take him I'll get behind it for sure. I just think you're paying a premium so it comes with a lot of risk for the pick expenditure.

FA needs at CB1 (Dean, Watkins, LTaylor) and CB3 (McCreary, Durant) take precedence. Linderbaum would set that OL but he’s projected at $20m+.
