Per PFT: Harvin does have a history of being fragile. I don't wish injuries on any team, but this has to hurt, especially given the picks that Seatle gave up to get him.

As expected, the Seahawks have decided to leave receiver Percy Harvin on the Physically Unable to Perform list following surprise surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip.

The move means that Harvin, a high-profile offseason trade acquisition from the Vikings, will remain off the team’s official roster through at least Week Six. After Week Six, the Seahawks have five weeks to activate Harvin for practice purposes. Once activated, the Seahawks will have three weeks to put him on the 53-man roster or shelve him for the year.

The Seahawks gave some consideration to using the injured reserve “light” designation on Harvin, which would have allowed him to return to play at any point after Week Eight. But that’s a one-per-club opportunity; if they had used it on Harvin, they wouldn’t have been able to use it on anyone who may get injured moving forward.

By leaving Harvin on PUP, he can return in theory at any point from Week Seven until Week 15.

The Seahawks also shifted defensive end Greg Scruggs and cornerback Tharold Simon to the reserve/PUP list, and they placed linebacker Korey Toomer on injured reserve.

The Seahawks now have 75 players on the roster.

Yeah, it's a shame he's injured, and blah blah blah blah blah.

Suck it, Seattle.
