Appears that the Chargers lost Joe Alt for the remainder of the season ... needs surgery for ankle injury. Another HUGE loss for a strong playoff-contender.

D.J. Humphries for a fifth-round pick? That's both starting tackles for the Chargers down for the season, and I'm greedy. :P

I wouldn't move Humphries for the same reason I wouldn't trade Garoppolo. Insurance for a key position.

In my opinion, the Rams have no competent Left Tackle behind Alaric Jackson; and Jackson is critical to Stafford's success.

Quessenberry was a healthy scratch, and Humphries gave up the edge on Justin Reid on Karty's second shank. We have depth at the tackle spot, and the Chargers don't have either of their starting tackles.

I like Quessenberry's versatility but I think he is far below Humphries as a Left Tackle.

You're right about Humphries getting beaten on the FGA but he was on the right side of the line; and blocking for a FGA is far different than pass blocking.
