I would not complain about any of those players. I am a bit leary on Latu due to his prior neck issues, that is up to the doctors though. I have a feeling McVay would do cart wheels if Bowers fell to 19. I think he would be all pro in this offense very quickly. Pass offense nearly unstoppabe.

Going to be hard to trade back with those names still on the board but I think we will get some pretty good offers to do so.

Agreed. It wouldn't shock me if the Rams traded up for Bowers.

Only if we address the defence in free agency.

Otherwise, we have too many holes to fill to trade away picks.
Picks can be dealt via trades up and added via trades down in the same draft class.

I don’t think Lati will go that early. He’s technically polished, however he has physical limitations. Players like that don’t often transition well to the NFL, where everyone is bigger and faster. I will be very skeptical of that pick if that is who the Rams draft.

Give me DeJean, JPJ, or Newton at that spot.

I had the same idea. But I just couldn't think of another player so technically polished with potential physical limitations who was a pass rusher.

Well, then the choice is easy, Cooper DeJean CB Iowa.

Makes all the sense in the world. But if Bowers were still on the board into the teens and the organization didn't think he'd slip to #19, I hope the Rams trade up for him. He's a weapon. A matchup problem. A difference maker. Maybe even a need if Kupp is declining.

There's no doubt. If he slides, we take him, maybe even move up if at all possible.
But of Latu is still there... that's a tough one. And if Turner or Verse are still lingering around at #15... I'd pull the trigger for that as well.
Any one of Bowers, Turner or Verse would be transformational for the Rams. Very worth the cost to move up a bit.

Is Cooper DeJean a #1CB in the NFL?

Otherwise, that would be a waste of a pick.
All signs point to that, but, he's easily the most versatile player in the secondary in this draft. Can literally play anywhere and well. He'd be a great get for us.

With QB needy teams picking 1 2 and 3 I just don't know how he falls past 3 unless Harbaugh is right and some team takes McCarthy in that 1-3 range. Heck let him fall to 19 I'll let him sit behind Stafford for a year or two.
Yeah I have to think we would take him. Though that is assuming he jives with McVay on the whiteboard and bro meeting stuff.

I can't imagine passing on Maye if he falls. He'd be by far the BPA (to me, he's my number one quarterback with Daniels a close second; I don't have Williams anywhere near draftable.), and it would be like an Aaron Donald situation.

Can't put my finger on it, but I was more impressed with QB Sam Howell at North Carolina.
I think he has been overrated for a while. But raw talent does matter and some of these guys don't have a great team around them to where they can be maximized. Imagine if he had gone to Bama for example.

So idk. I don't dislike the kid. But as I always say I prefer my QBs cocky. You want the type who can do kegstands and take three of the hottest cheerleaders home. The extroverts. QB is hard enough already at this level without fighting your natural instincts if you're an introvert or not comfortable being the one leading other men. Give me a gunslinger and it's easier to tell them to tone shit down than to build fragile fucking egos when there's giant athletes blitzing and trying to take their lunch money.

Oddly enough I like Daniels better than both of them. Especially, if he can put on some more weight.
