Edge rushers, in the conversation for the most valuable non-quarterbacks in football. We’re unveiling the top 10, based on the votes of myself, Andy Benoit and researcher Cal Klyman.

I’m not sure if anything here will make you spit out your froot loops, but we do have a second-year player on the verge of making the Big Two a Big Three. Plus we have a little talk about how there are no good football movies.

Just noticed the list of 10 includes 4 AFC west one from each team and 3 NFC west one from each but the Niners.

I get it, he was hurt last year but how the F is JJ Watt not on this list, it says in football not a timeframe...

Edge rushers are usually defined as 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB. Watt is usually a 3-4 DE which isn't technically an edge rusher.

This is a biggy Rob Quinn needs to get his grove back because its been MIA since the end of 2014. I would be really interested in seeing the individual plan that Wade has for Quinn. Quinn has been jacked backwards to the right for all but his rookie season when he played the left side. Wonder if Wade would consider flipping Quinn to the left side & insert Barwin on the right instead? It would give that back a change of pace would it not?.

Quinn would sure give most RT's some sleepless nights. It will be interesting to see just how much RQ is assigned to rush or just hold the outside containment?

It would also interesting to watch closely the 3 new outside edge rookie rushers Samson Ebukam, Ejuan Price & Teidrick Smith in OTA's & TC:yay:. You & I will hope that Snead has made 3 hits with these pass rushers! Would seem to be just what the doctor ordered for this new defense

Clonney was pretty good as well . He took over the one playoff game , I think against Raiders?

Quinn should be real good in the 3/4.
I think Connor Barwin will benifit on the other side. D.Easley has good speed quicknessas well. --Even Westbrook

Not sure it is a joke. Dude flat out come in & dominated . He had no training camp & missed games as well. Very impressive, plus just a rookie.

Best defensive lineman I've ever seen at the combine. His shoulders & wings span is amazing.
A true underwear player & is way better even in pads.

I don't think he deservers to be on a list like this until he's " Done it" at least two years in a row." One Rookie Year doesn't necessarily prove anything!

You make a good point. If that was TJ Watt going it & JJ is not in the top 10 there should be an issue .Then why Robert Quinn as well ?

I think Bosa is going to be one of the best DE's for years though. Glad he held out. The Chargers are so dumb with Spano's being cheap. It has cost him more that way.
With there draft & them moving to LA though ?? Will see what that looks like ? It is a good thing The Rams kept there foot in the OC though. UCI makes it hard for some fans to switch.
Are you a Kings or Ducks fan ? Lakers or Clippers ? Dodgers or Angels ??

The Albert thing though has made it hard to watch. Add CJ Wilson & that other Drug Hamilton .

I'll jump in here and say I've been a Rams-Lakers-Angels-Kings fan for 50+ years now.
And definitely in that order of importance.
The Angels, Lakers and Kings have all won Championships since the Rams did in '99 so it's now time for our Rammies to start the cycle over again!!

Top edge rushers get held with regularity. It comes with the territory. They can't be blocked conventionally by average or below average players.

Quinn drew 7 holding penalties in 2013, more than any other player.
