The drive before the end of the half cost us the game for sure. We could have gone into the half up by two scores. Instead we all know what happened. And then, the punt fumble and that was all she wrote.

That said, for all the blame to go around, we can`t deny that sometimes players make plays. And on that day, Emmanwari beat us.

Super tight game between evenly-matched teams (as were the first two Rams/Seahawks games).
It just does NOT come-down to one play, in my opinion.

Yes, allowing Seattle a late 1st half possession was big ... BUT ... the Seahawks still drove 74 yards on 6 plays in 34 seconds ... 34 SECONDS!

Yes, the muffed punt was huge ... led to a Gift-wrapped Seattle TD on the next play.

BUT ... Woolen's ridiculously-stupid taunting penalty extended a Rams' drive, and was equally huge; and resulted in a Gift-wrapped Rams' TD on the next play.

There are a number of significant plays that impact close games.

Here's one key stat from that game. The Rams were 1-for-8 on 3rd down ... Seattle was 7-for-13.

And I believe the Rams add another legit contributor on defense at each level: A high corner in the draft, an interior linebacker to compete with Speights, and another interior lineman run stuffer. Our defense should be top ten easily.

Rams also need a WR2B and another decent OL. The problem is they only have 3 draft picks in the top 93 slots. Then it’s 1 R6 and 3 R7 picks. They can’t fill all this thru the draft but they could possibly trade back and pick up another R2 pick. They could also fill with vets from team cuts.

And I got crushed here when I said he had bad clock management before the half and might of cost us the game. But that's neither here nor there....

If he knows it after the fact I just can't understand why he doesn't know it in the moment. Head coaches need to know these things in real time. It's one of the flaws in his skill set so far and no I'm not calling for his job whatsoever.

I’ll never forget when we drafted Chris Long. Wasn’t the biggest fan of his, but I loved his motor. Still, as his rookie year played out, I was critical of his footwork. I got absolutely BLASTED all year for this.

Come the last game of the year, post game locker room interview, the guy asks Chris, “So, you’ve survived your first year in the NFL. What do you think you need to improve most in the off-season.” Chris Long without hesitation, “Oh man, I really need to work on my footwork.”

It be like that sometimes.

I like how you describe the WR not as a #3, but a 2B or someone that can run all routes and possibly be a star some day. #3 types are expendable.

I actually am still holding out a little hope for Whittington, or another guy to take the next step as well. I thought for sure Whit was going to be the guy.

It seems like this year is a make-or-break year for him.

So McVay has "an issue" with clock management. It cost us the 2025 CCG? I can remember another loss I questioned his clock management and that was 2020 vs SF. What other games has his "issue" cost us? McVay has 63 losses; there's got to be more than 2. Right? And when is it "an issue". 2 games? 5? 10? Stafford has "an issue" with pick 6's as the all time leader (32, tied with Favre). He's thrown 7 as a Ram and we are 1-6 but I wouldn't want any other QB in the NFL. Kyren has "fumble issues". Seems they all cost us a game (2-5). He corrected that this year but I still wanted him coming into the season in spite of that!! Few guys have more TDs than KW (44) the last 3 seasons. Just wondering, has McVay fucked up with the clock more times than Kyren has fumbled? More times than Stafford has given away 7? I don't know man. 10 years, has to have more than those two since they've only been here 5 and 4 years respectively, no? Would love to see a list! Examples via memory or something. I realize he admitted to the mistake in the CCG but he admits to costing the team the game practically every time the Rams lose.
