A little puzzled, we didn't do enough to add to our skilled positions? Keeping Stafford and Williams, signing Adam's, drafting Ferguson and Hunter was not significant? Not sure what other moves there were to make but we sure as hell didn't stand pat.
The offense as a whole, although efficient…has become an offense that lacks in a quick strike threat, with skill guys (RB, TE, WR) who are generally not very explosive or scary in the open field. Lack of speed all around, and only one guy (Nacua) who could be labeled as elite. Everyone knows this including the Rams.
Adding Adams was a good addition, maybe even great, but we just don’t know if he’s still elite.
Tutu got “promoted” but hasn’t played much so it’s unknown if he can solve the speed and quick strike problem.
As for the rookies (Hunter and Fergs) I have doubts if Hunter even gets enough touches to add explosive plays. I don’t see it with Fergs, but we’ll see. Rookies. Both are DEPTH rookies.
So we essentially replaced Kupp with Adams and Robinson with Tutu.
All other skill starters are the same guys.
I love Stafford but let’s face it, aside from his elite arm and decision making…he hurts us in explosives too. Can’t move too well these days. Obviously I’m cool with that, he’s our QB and we’re lucky to have him. I think he needs more explosive weapons.
This post is a novel. I’ve explained my position in more detail earlier in the offseason.
(My opinion)Bottom line, I don’t like our RB’s. Need an elite guy there. We need more players on offense besides Nacua that defenses are afraid of.
