4 RB seems logical but like Dieter says that will cause one less in another position. OL I'd rather not unless they think a depth guy can stick on the PS. We started last year with 8 OL on the 53 man. With 8 that leaves us 24 players on offense. Take the 3 ST specialists and that leaves 26 on D.

Front 3 you would think is 6 guys like last year.
LB's last year was 10 but I think we're better there this year so I'd go with 9 and that gives us the extra player on offense from last year.
Leaving us with 11 DB's which also could yield a roster spot.
Dang! That's way to much math for me!

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that they brought in some bodies so they could sit out the majority of the OL who will make roster. Not sure why anyone is reading anything more into those signings.
You guys very well may be right, Like I said who knows but 18 offensive linemen on the roster for Saturday struck me as a lot. That doesn't include Lampkin who unfortunately isn't available

Another alternative theory, (since I have nothing else to do today), is that they're looking for a cheap veteran for the practice squad.
Leglue is not a total stiff and actually has starting experience, including a playoff start under his belt.
If they decide they need to cut Quisenberry to save money for a cheaper alternative and place that guy on the practice squad, we could do worse than Leglue.
And he plays both guard and tackle and has ideal size for tackle at 6'7"/310.

Could be but that doesn't mean he has to be signed before this weeks game and the cut downs.

Top 8 maybe 9 aren't likely to play this week though now your number is 9 or 10 to play this weekend.

From what we've seen from Rivers over the last couple of years, and what we've seen from Schrader so far, I might take a chance on keeping him over Rivers.
Yep. We’ve had 3 years of pretty much nothing out of Rivers. Time to turn the page.

Here’s a list & I’d have to say RB Cody has been impressive.

Out of these 10 players he is the only one on the bubble IMO.
These other players have done enough to earn spots.

Actually- D.Johnson,Dolac,B.Jackson will make it.
-Dedich,Leveston & AJ Green bubble

Cut - Hampton,Covey,Kendrick

From that article: Leveston does have the added benefit of position flexibility, being able to play tackle or guard. That’s not something Quessenberry can do

Am I confused? I thought Queensberry can and has played inside and outside. Maybe it was just RT and LT.

Good practice squad guy.
Knows the offense, McVay likes him, a good fit for the system.
Not super at anything but a solid rusher, blocks pretty well is pro and a good ST guy.
Perfect PS player to me.
That said, he might get picked up....I would think Schrader would 100% get picked up, likely by the Whiners.
The Rams kept Schrader on the 53 after they signed him last year.....he got a ST play or two in the playoffs, but, no RB duties. That said, a team doesn't pick up a guy and keep him on the 53 if they don't see a role for him.

I don’t think the 9ers would.. he’s not their type of back.

If the Rams traded Corum, that would make them one injury away from being Paper-Thin at RB ... no thanks.
But with the depth chart of Williams and then Corum, will we ever get to see Jarquez Hunter's 4.4 speed?
There's only so many carries per game to go around.

Will Hunter even be a game day active?

The Rams have tons of flexability.
Limmer, Dedich and Lampkin got numberous snaps at all three interior spots. This is huge to me.
Bowles was pretty much dominant as well, and if my memory is correct, he get a few reps at C last week.
The depth has gone from bare shelves to overflowing.
I think Dedich and Bowles have put enough good stuff on tape to get picked up. Lampkin has gotten too much hype and likely would get picked up as well if cut.
At T Quissenberry has looked the part of a solid, veteran pro. Leveston has been a pleasant surprise everywhere he has played. Gave up a bad pressure but, mostly, very solid and very good in the run game. He is a physical force for sure. The other T's probably don't have much of a shot. Maybe a PS guy.
So, with all this depth the question sort of becomes how many we keeping? ....who is mostly likely not to be picked up if cut?
Id like to keep 10 lineman, given the recent and repeated injury issues.
Humphries/Avila/Shelton/Dotson/Havenstein are autos of course. Jackson as well but I think he is going on the IR. Lampkin will make the 53 and then put on pup or IR as well, so, won't take up a roster spot either for a while. So, for the back up five Im going Limmer, Dedich, Bowles, McClendon, Leveston.
If the Rams really think highly enough of McClendon (he hasn't been playing after all) and see him filling a long term role, then, Id role the dice on Quissenberry to the PS. Hes a vet guy but was out there late in FA. Someone might jump on him of course. If they Rams don't really see a big role for McClendon long term, Id probably keep Quissenberry .
Inside the Rams don't have to make a choice with Lampkin for a bit so it allows Bowles, who has been dominant, a spot on the 53.
I would have a short leash on Humphries. Haven't heard a peep all camp. Don't know what to make of that. But, believe me first few offensive series my eyes will be on Humpries. If he starts slow I would have a quick hook. Hes been very good in the past and not good last year.
When Jackson comes back the Rams will have to choose between Leveston and Quissenberry once and for all. Same can be said for the return of Lampkin and other inside depth guys like Dedich and Bowles.
These are good problems to have.
Just a couple of years ago the hard choice would be trying to find a couple to maybe fill a depth role. It was hard to even tell who, if any, were showing upside in preseason. Now, the Rams have tough choices to make because they are going to be forced to cut good players with big possible upside.
As Coach McVay says, champagne problems.
EXPAND THE ROSTER TO 56 AND ALL DRESS GAME DAY.......make it so.

I agree if you mean Rivers isn't the Whiners type.
I was talking about Schrader however. Rams swiped him off of the PS and he seems to be a Shanny kind of running back.
I agree, if he’s not their kind of back I wonder why they picked him up originally. Also they are picking dudes up off the street right now. I’m sure they are drooling over the prospect of getting him back. Especially from the Rams

In this scenario are we not keeping Schrader? Schrader and Rivers would be sufficient behind Williams and Hunter IMO. That said, I'm not sending out Corum for some late round pick. They'd have to give decent draft capital for me to move off of him this season.
