How is being the favorite a bad thing?

I’m not a Dodger fan (Angel/Padre fan). But anyone trying to diss the Dodgers and saying their championships are illegitimate is a 100% whiney baby. Hate them if you want (like me), but they just are better organizationally by a mile than anyone else. Or live in a crybaby fantasy land.

You don't get it. Its how you say things, not so much what you actually say.
Again, just because you state a opinion does not make it a fact.
You do it all the time. Not just on this thread.
I am a Dodger fan. I liked it better when the Dodgers were more farm system based.
What is your favorite baseball team ? Could it just be sour grapes or jealousy ?
Why would it be sour grapes or jealousy? I am a Boston Red Sox fan. If my team won that way it would do nothing FOR me. That's just my personal assessment of the situation but I feel it's right.

I just cant/dont wanna win that way. My problem

What can I say, I live in the real (sports) world that is based on fairness. If winning a World Series with a 400 million payroll does it for you, God bless. Most of us are scoffing and laughing.
It still is nothing more than your opinion, and I think all of us Dodger fans are scoffing and laughing a little harder.

I stated before that being the favorites in the preseason doesn't really matter.

This Rams organization has been doing a great job in the McVay/Snead/Demoff era. They have been willing to make the big and small moves to keep reloading and staying in the hunt for the Championship. I'm not going to rehash all the moves in detail. They worked on putting together a better offensive line over the past few offseasons. They remade the defense with draft picks, which alleviated the loss of AD99. They found high-level players in recent drafts. This offseason, they made big-time trades for Miles Garrett and Trend McDuffie and signed free agent Jaylon Watson plus some special team players. It's been fun watching the moves. They still have to go out and win the games. Soon we get to watch and see how it all plays out.

Can you imagine if the Dodgers make a trade for Skubal? Because they have a great system they have the resources to give Detroit what they want. But I imagine some heads exploding if that happens.

Not trying to hijack your thread (you have been posting some good ones for discussion) but I have been curious about something.

Like most ROD members, I think the Rams are loaded (depth concerns at WR and LT ... and, of course QB).
And, I think they have as good a chance as any team to win the Lombardi.

My question is What Percentage would ROD members put on the Rams winning the Super Bowl this year?

100% is absolute certainty ... so it ain't that!
0% is not-a-chance ... literally impossible ... so it's more than that.
There are 32 teams ... if you add-up all their percentages (to win the Lombardi), it must total 100%.
Between 1% and 99% then?

LOL, trying to make the Dodgers the Rams who do it completely above board. Let's see the Dodgers win a title while spending the same as the rest of the league as the Rams do. As the Seahawks did last year. As the Chiefs did all those years. THATS impressive. Dodgers, and they're 150 million dollar luxury tax bill, not so much.

The Boston Red Sox historically rank among the highest-spending teams in Major League Baseball, frequently sitting in the top 5 during their World Series championship eras, though they have shifted to a mid-tier ranking (around 11th to 12th) in recent seasons. [1, 2, 3]

Historical Spending Era (2000s–2019)
    • Peak Spenders: For most of the tenure under primary ownership, Boston operated as a top-3 payroll team. They led MLB in total spending in both 2018 ($235.6 million) and 2019 ($213.1 million) during and immediately after their recent championship run. [1, 2, 3]
    • Luxury Tax Status: They regularly exceeded the Competitive Balance Tax (luxury tax) threshold to secure marquee talent like David Price and J.D. Martinez. [1, 2]

Yes the Sox 2018 WS Championship was borderline illegitimate, and EASILY my personal least favorite of the four I've won this Century. The other three are legit and glorious.

So much weird postseason sht happened to us back then. Remember the mud bowl? I always say being the best team doesn't always translate to SB wins.
The worst was the Hollywood Henderson taunting game. ‘79

Hated those Cowboys.

After there is no baseball next year and a salary cap is inserted, then I'll be impressed when the Dodgers win a World Series. Until then, they're just buying it.. Cant tell me otherwise.
Seems like nobody can really tell you anything.
