Continuity, timing and the subtleties of the O.L and TG30 in the run game are my biggest concern

Rams O I feel will be rusty. But Carr gets obliterated

I'm not fully convinced the Rams will be rusty - maybe a little, but they've been going against a far better defense in practice than they will face in game 1. I suspect they will be fine. Yes, practice isn't gameplay - but then, neither are preseason games. I suspect McVay has some clue about how to prepare the team in practice.

Wow. Some many of you guys have the high speed wobbles! Knock it off! You're sounding like 9er fans. RAMS ARE GOING TO CRUSH THEM RAIDAS TOMORROW NIGHT!

I hate that we have to play on that infield dirt.

I hope Bert Campanaris didn’t dig any divots around second base.

But really, I am more excited than nervous. I trust this group to have our guys ready to play.

Gruden is going to mash the ball, or try like crazy, early on. Heavy sets maybe too, which made an appearance for the Raiduhs in preseason with Lynch runnin behind them. Lynch looked good too btw, so the Rams better be ready for the Raiders to try to hit them in the mouth and get physical.

If they succeed the game goes faster and the Rams' offense sits. Guarantee that is Gruden's plan. Along with some timely play action of course.

Bottom line is if the Rams stuff the run early and put them in 3rd and long it's going to be a fun game for us. If not, meh. We'll be sweatin bullets.

Here's my expert analysis: So far all three major Los Angeles teams have lost this weekend,

UCLA Bruins USC Trojans Los Angeles Chargers

Chances of going 0-4?
Well, the odds are in our favor so the Rams will win. And contrary to public opinion, I believe the offense will play well.

I'm always nervous before a game. Especially week one.
I'm only nervous during "there's no tomorrow games" playoffs or otherwise, I'm excited about tomorrow--but not nervous. Looking forward also to the first game to see how well Sam Darnold handles the big-time pressure having to play his first NFL game on a Monday night. I'm so happy college and pro football are back. Other sports are fun--but nothing beats football and nothing beats Ram football!

.

i've hyped the team so much in my own mind that i will be disappointed if they don't win by 30.

i'm fully aware things can go pear shaped quickly but my brain won'r consider it.

In today's LA Times, the paper's Rams beat writer Gary Klein reports that Rich Gannon who played 14 years in the NFL can never recall a time that a starting QB didn't play one down in the preseason. He claims that a real game against an opponent is needed to establish rhythm, timing and the feel of a defensive pressure before the regular season. And of course our HC says his approach is not for everyone. BTW all NFL starting QBs played at least one series in the pre season--except for Goff. We'll see tomorrow what happens.

Not playing one series has been a head scratcher to me. But, maybe McVay is on to something this year. At practuce, they can go full speed, but still have hands off the qb. So, maybe Goff will be good to go. And, McVay knows his qb. Goff seems pretty relaxed on the field, so McVay must think Goff can jump in and get rolling quick.

During the week of the pre season games, we are scrimmaging against the other team all week before the game. I'm sure Goff got in enough work. It will be interesting if the Rams come out sharp after not playing starters in pre-season. It might start a new trend in the NFL.
