After sleeping on it and getting some emotional distance, it was a great season.

McVay took a flawed roster heavy on offense, weak on defense, and atrocious on special teams within a hair's length of the Super Bowl. Can he and the Rams be criticized? Sure. But that's a bias. Every year 31 teams go home weeping and gnashing their teeth. Winning the Super Bowl is an extremely rare thing.

It's just entertainment. And overall I was very entertained.

We went went one game farther than last year and I have chosen to be happy about that. Matthew Stafford. Is a great QB and deserves the MVP and I am happy about that too. I would like to trade down for picks in the top 100. Oh, and no more tiny CB’s, eh Les? We need some fast physically talented CB’s that can shut down TE’s that stand more than 6ft! Draft a player who was a home run hitter in college returning punts and kicks. How about an OT with tons of upside?
Get Bones back!
Enjoyed the year, even with @Merlin being a hambone!

When the Rams were bad year in and year out, I would think we were all jealous of those franchises that were always good, always playing in big prime time games.

Unfortunately, now that we have been a bit spoiled by McVay, we now realize that it can be tough rooting for an annual contender. Unless things align perfectly for your team, you probably end the season very disappointed.

In 21', Arizona lost the last teg season game that year to give the Rams the division. SF took out the #1 seed in GB and the #2 seed in Dallas. The Rams rallied to win last second wins over TB & SF. Then pulled out a tough last minute win over the Bengals. A lot of shit fell their way to win it all.

That doesn't happen often. In a league that is so balanced now, whoever wins it will have to get breaks more often than not.

So it is basically hang on and enjoy the ride no matter how it ends.

I know this is the anti vent thread but I don’t think it was a great season because despite all the flaws the Rams are the best team in the league this year and should have won the SB hands down.
If those last 2 pass attempts were to either Puka, Devante or Parkinson we were going to be SB champs .
Hard one to swallow.

Parkinson had a shot to make a big play like 3 plays prior and he dropped what could’ve possibly been a touchdown. Seattle just out schemed us on the last two plays. They dropped 8 into coverage, doubled multiple players, and no one was open. Puka got doubled on both plays. Davante’s route on third down was an out and up that took way too long to develop and on fourth down he was just completely and totally blanketed.

I DO think we should’ve tried a fade to Davante on third down. Even if it was incomplete it’s a play that can draw a DPI. I don’t know why we had him run such a slow developing route.

I loved the offense and there were really good defensive moments but I was never comfortable with the inconsistent pass rush and subpar pass coverage. It was close but the hole of having to win 4 on the road in the playoffs was too deep. Stellar CB play or a more effective pass rush would have put them over the top.

Going on the road 3 straight weeks in tough conditions finally caught up to the good guys. Don't necessarily need the one seed, but you need to be able to host at least one playoff game. Our team looked tired at times against the hawks. I saw Verse stumble while trying to rush the passer. It was a bridge too far considering the brutal conditions they played in the week before. It was a great effort though and one of the most fun and interesting seasons I've watched of our team. Fun as hell.

Great season is winning a SB or at least making it. This was a frustrating season because we should have won a SB.
Maybe next year we won't beat ourselves like we did this time.
In my opinion we need;
A real return man.
One with real confident hands and knows when to call a fair catch.

A shutdown corner and an overall upgrade in our cornerbacks.
Even a more hard-hitting brutal Safety.

And what I always call for.
A real power running back/fullback lead blocker type.
I'm not taking anything away from Williams and Corum who do a great job.
But I would love to see a running back that wears the defensive line and linebackers down a little more so for the second half.
