Now I heart you my Ram Brother, but please don't every post you're having Papa Johns every again. I used to say "Pizza is like sex, all is good, just some is better then others." That's until I once tried Papa Johns, may God have mercy on my Italian sole.

Raiding the refer for this game. Reheating leftover Beef ribs, St.Louis style pork ribs and Mac & cheese, ... potato salad and Cole slaw for the finish.

I miss good BBQ, there are so many different regional styles in the States, when I was in the Army I would drive around to find all the really good independent restaurants on the weekends and stuff my face. I got in trouble because I kept driving out of the milage range (we were supposed to be able to be boots on the ground anywhere in the world within 24 hours, so we couldn't go more than an hour or two away from base), but I the restaurant loaded me up with a bunch of free food to bring back to my unit as a quasi bribe so instead of an Article 90 we had a unit party.

I'm eventually I'm going to have to pick up a smoker.

St. Louis style pork steaks are a regional thing that when done right… are pretty damn good and pretty unique.

Any of the Missouri guys agree with me?

I didn‘t realize pork steaks were pretty much a STL thing until trying to order them at a butcher outside the area. The best cut is steaks from a Boston butt, cut on the thinner side.

The best way I‘ve had them is top rack slow cooked, basted almost from the start into think and sticky outside layer of BBQ sauce. The key is to slow cook these fatty steaks to where the fat is pretty much cooked away. It takes patience and technique.

A lot of people grill them, move into a pan of sauce, slow cook there. I prefer to dry them out a little myself, and top rack them indirect heat the whole time.

But yeah… regional BBQ in the USA is awesome.

I had them once, really liked them, I don't think I've seen them elsewhere now that I think about it though. St Louis had a number of things that were somewhat unique, toasted ravioli was popular there, basically fried ravioli, so like a mix between a cheesestick and ravioli, pretty solid gameday snack, and there was like a fried lasagna thing I think too, but I'm not sure if either originated there. I think toasted ravioli have started to expand more, never tried the lasagna thing so I never thought to look for it elsewhere

St Louis style pizza was an interesting too, it was pretty decent albeit not as good as NY style, or authentic, but it's hard to fuck up pizza outside of the big chain joints which do their very best.

Same, I just had a baguette and apple for breakfast, now I'm looking at BBQ places in Limerick to see if they're worthwhile, doubtful though. :laugh2:

Looks interesting, probably really good. This video calls it toasted lasagna, which if I'm remembering is probably what they called it. Maybe it's new, since this video is from 2014, I think it was 2015/16 when I saw him order it.

Vegetarian in Indian means Bad Hunter....Seriously though I respect the hell out of that, keep it up, I could never do it, but I know it's a much healthier way to live.

As for me, I had a homemade deli sandwich. Turkey, roast beef, tomatoes, all on a large bread slice. Should've taken a picture, but couldn't with my parent's puppy there; it was all I could do to keep it from him.

Oh yeah, satan's mother made us a great cookbook with a gooey butter cake recipe in it, and since a succubus feeds on the lives of the innocent that remained with me after we split up. You better believe I gave that one a go.
