My friend, you know I respect your opinion, but something I've noticed that is universal is that fanbases have to have guys to criticize. Even when you're winning, there has to be a punching bag. That's my complaint. If Todd continues to perform, someone else will end up being the punching bag (probably Tavon).
I agree.....see Kendricks and Quick (being labeled as having terrible hands, which he does not, NFL average drop rate)....
But, I was not doing that punching bag routine on Gurley at all.
The closest Ive come to on this team has been Havenstein....and that's not being a punching bag for struggles on O, I just don't think he can hang long term at RT. Doesn't mean he wont continue to play or even improve potentially.

Definitely not the same...
This is sped up lol

There's nothing wrong with Gurley......he needs better blocking, especially at the POA. Last year he averaged 1.59 yds before contact; vs the Colts it was 0.84!!! The run blocking was much improved vs Wash, and if we weren't behind he would have had 6 - 8 more carries and he would have easily gone for over 100yds. Better blocking is all TG needs.....and these questions re his lack of burst, vision will be a thing of the past. Give the ball to him 20 - 24 times a game so he can get into a groove.

He's had less than 20 carries in both games this year

His vision doesn't speed up. This is meant to show his vision prior to now.

I disagree. He hit hole just like that in the Washington game on the play he fumbled the ball the second time. He got tripped up before he could spring it. Why did he hit the hole like that? He had an alley. That's what you see on the Arizona play. You can put your foot on the gas when you have an alley through the second level. When you don't, you can't.

I just created a thread talking about that very run and how it could've very easily gone to the house. It is somewhat similar to the 52 yard Cardinals run and Gurley hit it with the same urgency. What people don't give credit enough for on that Cardinals run was GRob, Brown, Barnes, and Saffold all dominating their assignments and creating a lane. Gurley did a great job exploding through the hole and making cuts afterward, but there was a hole to start with.

With a guy like Whitworth he doesn't make alleys he makes freeways. I get what your saying, but I feel like a lot people truly believe the OL before was able to make these alleys more before than now. I don't know. Meh. We'll see.

Get him out of a middle offense and he actually looks like Gurley.... rocket science.
