Agreed. But I'm not a fan of Flacco, never have liked him and no way I'd trade for him.

Does he fit as a game manager for a ball control offense, though? Yes. Problem is Elway isn't going to be happy with that down the road.

You have a first time head coach and a young QB. So you bring in a vet to back him up and help the young QB learn the new system. We've already seen Case do similar stuff with Goff his rookie year. So now Kingsbury can have a friend and somebody that knows him come in to mentor his new young QB who doesn't know him. Also for the record Bradford was cut by a different coach and offensive staff. They're not done with Rosen although there are rumors, and I'll use that term lightly, that they could trade Rosen and take Murray at #1. If that happens the trade still makes sense.

And you can trade down to say 4 with the Raiders who might be in on Murray. Take the top tackle in the draft then in the 2nd take one of the young TE that they desperately need and add a few mid round beefy guards while also adding a veteran OG, Ramon Foster maybe or Chance Warmack, JR Sweezy, Billy Turner or DJ Fluker all are free agents, and you've just beefed your OL up bigtime added picks added depth on the OL and brought in a mentor to your young QB.

Keenum will be released once Elway's phone has spider webs. $14M for a backup QB is too much.

Yeah... the other consideration is Flacco is 34. How close are the Broncos and how much left does Joe have?

I bet it's not a very high draft pick in compensation, age and contract a factor.

.

Maybe the ravens are giving the Broncos compensation.

.

Okay, I am having a brain lock. Have we seen that before to get a team to accept a player's contract?

Maybe could see a swap.

I don't know. Flacco seems worth trading for, to me.

Bronco's beat writer confirming it's just Flacco for a Bronco's 4th rounder. The only uncertainty is if it's the Bronco's 4th or the Texans 4th.

Keenum still counts for 10m against the cap. Yeah they will release him but if they draft a QB in first round they will have lots of cap money tied up in QB for 2019

I heard on a radio show, Flacco has the most pass attempts of any active quarterback NEVER to make a pro bowl!
