Actually, wasn't that in 2020 with Goff?

that's what i thought. that's the day the punt returner had the chance to be the hero and win the game at the death, yet he somehow managed to run right into the punter so he could tackle him. never seen it before in my life.

.

Thats a crazy stat.

What makes me feel better personally, is that the Panthers have some legit wins against legit teams. The Jets had NO wins in 2021 and manhandled us, and yet we still won the super bowl.

The Jets loss was in 2020, the year before we won it with Stafford.

So we shit the bed in Carolina. Other than the three turnovers, which Stafford knows he can't make, the offense rolled up and down the field. Even with our defense playing the worst game of the year, we were still in position to win or tie at the end. Was Poona's injury a major player in our defense not being able to stop the run? Forbes has been playing well of late. Hopefully, he learned his lesson. Win the rest of our games and we'll be the #1 seed. The Bears have a brutal schedule in front of them. We need to take care of Detroit and Seattle.

The fact that the panthers converted 4th down for a TD twice, the Rams D played possibly its worst game of the season and Stafford turned the ball over 3 times. I'm not concerned right now, but if the missed tackles and turnovers continue it will be time for concern.
I think the Rams started believing the press saying we were the best team in the leage, etc. It happens ever year to teams. A slice of humble pie at this time might have been exactly what we needed. We shall see.

just stay underdogs...

the bar room wins are so much better (and louder) when i go off with a great play...

being a frontrunner makes me kinda meh... i knew we could do that,,,

stay under the radar...

go rams

Yes, you are correct. For some reason I always get that Jets loss mixed up with the Titans loss the year after. Probably bc both were horrendous displays of football on our end.
That was the game that I really went Anti Blythe.

He kept getting pushed back into Goff all game.

There was one throw that had a wide open receiver down the field - Goff saw it - tried to throw it to him and got hit by both Blythe and the defender right when he threw the ball.

And it kept happening all game that day with Blythe just getting destroyed by that defender.

Goff had maybe 2 seconds to throw the ball all game long.

That's a different approach.

It was drilled in our heads was to get in the other teams head that you are the dominant team, before, during and after the game.

Never think like an underdog.

The defense getting manhandled in the run game and brain farting not once, not twice, but three times on long TD passes is what makes me lose sleep at night. I thought that shit was behind us.
The last TD, I just give credit to Young.
Forbes under cut the route and had excellent coverage. Young just lobbed the ball over their head and threw his WR open. The WR getting a step or two is just the WR seeing the ball and not Forbes. So it goes.
Over all, the D was certainly disappointing.
Also....why would McVay go away from the run in a game where he had two RBs averaging over 6 ypc?

I think the Defense issues are with Poona being banged up, but more important that Capt. Lake is not out there. should have just Ran the damn ball and try to get the First downs.

Corum and Kyren were kicking the crap outta them. Give it to one, worst case we fail at a goal line stand or hit a FG. It wipes a Score from them and 2 turnovers. 3rd and 6 at the 8 it was basically 2nd down in my opinion! Run it! Worst case we go for it on a 4th and 1 situation or take 3.

Other Int was also a 3rd and 6 at the 41, Run it! Worse case, Flip the Field with Ethan! 7 comes off the Board. We win! 31-24 Worst Case! 7.2YPG with Kwill and Corum! RUN THE FUCKING BALL!
