Which is why I feel, in this situation, err on the side of TD because the team won't have to waste a challenge for your incompetence.

On another slightly related subject: I don't like the way they do the challenge system. Maybe it has to do with time constraints, I don't know. You could still start the game with 2 challenges, but If there's a challenge and the ruling is overturned, I think the team should keep that challenge. Just a thought

If you win the challenge you get another one. Lose the challenge and get charged a time out

Actually that's not true. You have to win both you get a new one and then it's only one.

You are correct, but it should be how I described

Wish I could see it again!

BS !!! It was not ruled a TD & that is why it was not a TD.

The one Ref over ruled the other so it was not ruled a TD.

Dean van Evil even thought it should have been a TD. The NFL sucks in its replay this season. Worst ever !!

It Baltimore they took a 2 point conversion away when it was called good. Just horrible.

Sorry but it would not have been reviewed since they ruled it incomplete. He had to challenge it and should've won it .

Did a ref overrule another ref? Or just make a different call? It was confusing and sketchy as it happened.

The zebra closest to it signaled TD.

The Rams got a TD anyway, but man the refs need more accountability.

I wish Goodell would have had the stones to stand up to the refs union.

He fucked that up royally.

IMO it's the worst thing he has done and nothing else is in the conversation. That was the worst.

sorry, didn't see it like that.

Scoring plays are all reviewed so this was a rookie HC mistake by McVay. He didn't have to throw the flag.

However I don't know what they saw on the field it was a TD.

Had that gone to the office to review I would hope they would have said "td".

There is a real serious problem with officials in the NFL.

Don't even watch the end of the 49ers Cards game.

It wasn't called a touchdown.

Well it was originally called a td but another official came in and called it incomplete. Therefore McVay was left to throw the flag.

If all scoring plays are reviewed, how come the Rams had to Challenge?

it was ruled an incompletion.

.

We know it was ruled an incompletion on the filed. Are you saying they only review plays where a player supposedly scores?

yes, unless it's inside the last 2 mins of each half.

yes, and same with turnovers. only reviewed if its ruled to be a turnover, not could have been a turnover

Ok - yes the Eef did over rule the other Ref.

Last night Russell Wilson scored a nice TD. Carrol had to challenge it.On a play like that it is better to call the TD because it is challengeable.
On a goal line TD maybe not, but the Ref can come down the line & see where the ball is ? Still tough calls.

The Rams TD with Woods should have been over turned. The challenge lost so I don't know how that was a rookie coaching mistake.
The first challenge with McVay was though. The spot of the football was wrong.I don't understand why he would lose a challenge though. He did question the play.
