Tyson is probably the best fit of the three for plugging in with the Rams and being felt as a rookie. His injuries worry me too. But if the Rams clear him and take him, stand by. Because he is going to feast with 9 at QB and defenses sweating Nacua and Adams.
Boston is a lot like Tet. He is always open. Whether he's running an underneath route or a deep route if the ball is anywhere near him he will come down with it. He is sudden in movement and smooth in his routes. 4 drops in 4 years. He is a Stafford type WR. A perfect complement for Stafford.
Tate's gonna be off the board but he's strong in all respects and I love how he gets off that line of scrimmage.
The X role is more about size and perimeter threat to catch high points and deep outs and bodying DBs in the redzone and on third down. You want a certain level of speed but speed by itself is not as important as the frame, the hands, the body control and aggression to the ball. Boston can run nines in this offense and Stafford putting it in just his general area has a real chance to convert. One on one he's a monster.
As it pertains to one on one here's
PFF's WR rankings last season in college ball vs man coverage. The top dudes were Boston, Sarratt, then Tyson.
By the way Sarratt is going to be available later into the draft. Also into round 3 there are options like Lane or Fields. This class is loaded. I'm sweet on Lane, but he's going to need to work on his get off to beat the jam. Though I imagine with the Rams that won't be too hard to figure out, given our WR quality plus coaches.
