That crazy third round run on OTs had to affect Snead's plan. If he wanted a tackle that was on his list then he had to take one. It also pushed lots of linebackers down to round four. So the urgency to land one was assuaged.

I would have chosen Okoronkwo or Holland, so those are the two at the top of my list. The dearth of good Olinemen in the NFL is making teams over value the positions. OT in particular. Notebook is pretty raw to be taken ahead of many players left on the board.

No doubt. And it's what I was afraid would happen too. Actually the run on the tackles was a little later than I figured it might happen, but the Rams still felt pressed to find that project OT. I get it. Don't love it, but gonna try not to get negative about it and hope they still come out of next round with lots of pieces that can work at LB.

I don't like taking projects before round 5. They have a high rate of never developing, and if they do figure it out in time, they become free agents right about then and get overpaid by other teams. So your coaches just spent valuable redeveloping a player for another team. Tru is a good example. If not for tagging him he would have left at the end of his rookie deal. He had tools but was considered to need coaching up. Hopefully, Notebloom can learn fast enough that they know what they have before his contract is up and get him locked up early.

Tomorrow, My #1 target is Shaquem Griffin.

Yes, loss of hand makes it harder for him to shed blocks.

But...

ACC Def. Player of the year. 33.5 TFL last two seasons. MVP of Peach Bowl after undefeated season. Showed well at Senior Bowl. King of the Combine with a sick 4.38, fastest EVER recorded for a LB. Never have to question his heart— super motivated. A “bag of chips” on his shoulder to prove wrong the doubters. And his twin brother is a solid player— a recent “re-draft of 2017” would have put Shaquill in the first round.

But mainly, I would just love rooting for this guy. What an inspirational story.

We need to go up and get him. Doesn't make sense not to wait and pray.

I did share this opinion until I realized Jack Cichey is still here. This dude is every bit as good or better than his counterpart Schoebert for the browns. Only fell this far bc he tore his ACL. Watched him play a lot. He's super fast and dominated my Buckeyes in 2016. Tape is incredible.

All the discussion around how eliminating kickoffs could impact what we look for in players, is interesting.

I mean, there could be less emphasis on being able to contribute there... more emphasis on developmental players.

Some speculate this weakens Shaquem Griffin, if there are concerns how to maximize him as a player.

Not saying I agree with it, but interesting discussion.

We need to seriously ship some 6th rounders to move up in round 4 before the better players magically go bye bye.

Baltimore has #118 and #122, I wouldn’t mind seeing them package #136 and #195 to move up to #122

So we have pick 11, 35 and 36.

Bolded are guys we've met with.

Looking at LB available:

Shaqueem Griffion obviously
Jeff Holland
Josh Sweat
Ogbonnia Okowronko
Hercules Mata'afa
Kylie Fitts
Dorance Armstrong

At ILB
Micah Kiser
Josey Jewell

Jack Cichey
Christian Sam

Feel free to add names, one thing I'd look at for tomorrow though! Snead has made 9 picks with McVay and 7 of them played and excelled at the Senior Bowl. That's probably a trend and something to pay attention to.
I think Josh Sweat and Micah Kiser are Highest on my wish list starting out today!!(y);)

Not being too picky BUT I am really hoping the Rams will draft either LB Josey Jewell or LB Micah Kiser with one of their 4th Round Picks!

A few other players I am hoping the Rams consider who I think are still available are DT Tim Settle, OT Tyrell Crosby, C Bradley Bozeman, DT Maurice Hurst (Health concerns?), Edge Josh Sweat, LB Ogbonnoia Okoronkwo(so?) AND LB Shaquem Griffin (How can you NOT root for this player?!).

Should be a fun and interesting 4th and 6th Rounds for the Rams today!
