The smart thing to do is start with some of these aging guys. Surely their best days are behind them and we need to release our oldest guy FIRST.

Got it so maybe possibly he'll play it seems after some scans and some work to do. That's all I was looking for. Any idiot on youtube or twitter can say whatever they want. Nobody should believe them unless we hear it from the man himself. And McVays said the following so that people know what was said about it.

"I think he'll (Witherspoon) be able to play this week," McVay said. "He got some scans. The goal and the anticipation is to be able to do that. But with both he and Tutu, we'll get through the week, and we'll see where they're both at. But it'll be good to get them back on the practice field."

Agree.

Until I recognize a name and/or source, I am reluctant to fully accept a report.

And, over the past month, McVay has consistently stated, in press conferences, that Witherspoon was pushing to get back earlier but would likely be out until mid-December. Seems things have quickly ... and positively ... progressed. Anything that keeps Derion Kendrick off-the-field is a positive to me.

Also, looking at the Rams' site ... the roster ... which seems up-dated, and includes Vannett, Kendrick and safety Chris Smith ... stands at 53 players, with both Atwell and Witherspoon technically still on IR.

The designation-to-return classification means they can be activated at any point in the next 21 days but when that happens, the Rams will need to clear space on the 53 man roster.

Exactly why I was wondering where the source was because like you said he was talking a few weeks away still and having just activated his window a couple more weeks would make sense.
 
Wonder what the hell is up with Mcreary. Maybe they were disappointed in his play? Or is the injury worse than they thought?
 
He’s probably going to be depth give the play of our other guys and Ahkello coming back. A good HUMINT asset though.
 
Man this Defense is going to take the entire NFL by storm. McVay wants to go out with a big bang, and is about to showcase it. Super stoked about this season.
