First off, yeah I am as pissed as anyone we lost yesterday...however

In our first super bowl season, we were 6-0 and the toast of the NFL, promptly lose AT TN, come back to beat them in the SB

In our last SB we lose to SF twice, once in heartbreaking fashion in OT, up 17-0 and lose the 2 seed!!!. We come back to beat them in the NFC Champ game, win the SB.

This just might be the BEST thing to happen for this team. Yeah we win, we are 3-0, and everyone is reading the press clippings that this is THE team to beat in the NFL. We get all fat and happy in week 3.....

Well now this leaves a chip on their shoulder ALL season, we know we are better than the Eagles, the Eagles know we are better than the Eagles. Rams know they are better than the Eagles.

Take a look at Kyren Williams interview after the game, its on Rams Youtube, this is going to keep the guys hungry and more focused throughout the season.

Onto the Colts.

Indianapolis Colts @ Los Angeles Rams on September 28, 2025:

Preview: Colts at Rams — Week 4
  • The Colts enter this game undefeated (3-0), riding high after a convincing 41-20 win over Tennessee.
  • Daniel Jones has been efficient through three games, completing over 70% of his passes and distributing the ball well.
  • Jonathan Taylor continues to be a key part of the Colts’ offense, providing a strong rushing attack.
  • The Rams are 2-1 and coming off a close loss in Philadelphia.
  • Their offense features reliable weapons: Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and Kyren Williams all are producing.
  • Key concerns for the Colts: injuries in the secondary. Cornerback Kenny Moore II is sidelined with a calf injury and wide receiver Alec Pierce is questionable due to a concussion.
  • The betting line favors the Rams by ~3.5 points; the over/under is in the upper 40s (≈ 48.5) — expecting a moderately high-scoring affair.

D. Jones has yet to face a D-Line like ours. Texans' D-Line is good, but ours is easily top 3 in the NFL. He will NOT have any time to throw.
That's really the key to this defense.
Huge pressure to force their Q into bad decisions and TO's.
Gotta have the sacks, tipped passes, and off balance throws to help out this secondary.
No more of those prevent ( the win ) defensive schemes.

Not the easy win we thought it'd be a month ago. Talented team overall with a resurging D. Jones. As long as we shut down Taylor as well as we did Barkley we should be good to go.

Jared and Poona will be up to the task. Add in Landman and I think they get the job done again.

A statistically pretty even match up....for what thats worth.....which probably isn't much.....

Colts and Rams are both top 5 in yards per game.
Colts with 418 YPG....265 YPG passing and 153 YPG rushing
Rams at 363 YPG....236 YPG passing and 127 YPG rushing
Both averaging 4.6 YPC

Colts defense giving up 272 YPG
Rams defense giving up 268 YPG
Colts with 7 sacks
Rams with 12

The real separator, and only real one, is the Colts have a league best + 5 turnover ratio.
They have not turned the ball over in 5 games.

I think they really benefit from a balanced attack. An elite back, a couple of good receivers and a young, big TE target for Jones. Jones with the big benefit of that run game allows him to not too much and he is playing really well. Completion percentage above 70%.

But, no team can really go weeks on end without turnovers in the NFL. I expect those scales to even out a bit this week.
Stuff the run and make Jones beat you....he is a very good runner as well.

Do the Rams stay balanced or go after the Colts through the air?

Colt have beaten the dolphins and titans.

They lose to Denver on a last second 60 yard fg attempt but Denver penalty gives the colts another attempt from 45 for the win.

Improved, competitive team that can beat you if you don’t show up.

Rams are the better team and should beat them unless they screw the pooch. I like the matchup.

Daniel Jones has a ton to prove. How will he look if he gets pounded to the dirt?

It does appear we have the dogs to stop the run against the top backs. Taylor will be our best test after shutting down Barkley.

Avila availability and in game injuries might be the deciding factor.

Colts look like a 10 win team right now.

Rams look like a 13 win team right now.

They can definitely beat us if we are now on our game though.

The Colts offense is making Jones look good because they have a strong OL and crazy amount of weapons. Pittman and Pierce are big and athletic, Downs is smooth and sure. Their RB can bust a long gainer on any play. And that goddamn TE they added is what we were looking for, the big target over the middle.

I think we win this game because we have the better QB and the Colts defense is not all that. But this is another playoff level matchup. They're gonna be a tough out.
