Andre Johnson may be finished in Indianapolis, but his agent insists he is not finished.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Colts are done with the veteran wide receiver, and are prepared to cut him if he doesn’t retire.

And that doesn’t seem to be in his plan, as his agent Kennard McGuire told Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle “Retirement hasn’t been discussed. Andre is training and preparing for next season.”

The 34-year-old wideout failed to make any kind of impact with the Colts last season, catching just 41 passes for 503 yards and four touchdowns.

That’s obviously not what they were hoping for when he signed a three-year, $21 million contract last offseason, and paying him $7.5 million for next year is clearly not anything they’re interested in.

Usually there is a reason teams let go of these vets. Teams have gotten more savvy. It is unfortunate and cold for the players, but it is becoming, "two contracts and your done," unless you are a special player.
