Ni Hao! The #LARams@trapp07
are headed to China! #Rams在中国

Sound like a PR move for the Rams and the NFL then found the article below!!!

The National Football League's quest to expand its global reach could result in a pair of teams playing in China next year.

According to The Athletic's Matt Barrows, NFL owners are expected to discuss the possibility of playing a regular-season game in China in 2020, with Beijing and Shanghai both being considered options as the host city.

The San Francisco 49ers would tentatively be the designated home team, with the Los Angeles Rams a possibility as the away team after having previously shown interest in the concept.

49ers general manager John Lynch said Monday, per Barrows:

"As a football guy, you're usually pretty protective. Like, 'Hey, let's make sure this is good for our team.' I think one thing we feel comfortable with is that (CEO) Jed (York) and (team president) Al (Guido) always keep that in mind, so we’re not going to do anything that's going to put us at a disadvantage. But if we can grow the game and also have a cool experience we'll make it work."

This is the only way I see the Rams involved. There is no way Stan would want to give up a home game in his new palace.

If I was the NFL I wouldn't touch China. No potential fortune is worth opening that Pandoras box of influence.

Why expand there? There's plenty of places in Europe, Australia, and Canada that would go nuts if they can get an NFL game there.

Just when I was excited we finished the europe/mexico committments, China enters the picture! What the F..k???

I call BS. If anyone has to go to China, then every team should have to go...16 games. So not fair to the teams that go. It's such a long haul.

Greed knows no boundaries.....stupid is what comes to mind.

I’ll meet you halfway.

We are ALL greedy, except when it’s on a personal level, it’s called bettering our station in life, but when a company does it, it’s greed. Disagree.

That said, trying to introduce American football in China is pure idiocy.
It’s just fucking stupid. Agree 100%.

Well, getting a tiny percentage of the audience in China is likely worth more than a larger percentage of the audience in most countries.

For the next few years it should be the Rams only as the visiting team - my understanding is that was part of the deal for the Rams to have annual international games as the host.

But yeah, I'd rather the Rams not have to travel that far. I suspect part of the deal would be that the Rams wouldn't have to play in Europe - even as a guest - for a few seasons. Similar distances for them.

That being said, giving up a Rams-49ers game in California for an international game seems foolish. I assume the Chinese are offering a huge amount for the game.

I mean seriously, the Rams have paid their pound of flesh through getting to move to LA. ENOUGH! Lets the sucky teams in the NFL go there!

Lets be honest here it's the whole thing. Players owners and coaches. Coaches and players may bitch about having to travel but they love the extra money too.

A 13 hour plane ride, horrible and I mean horrible air pollution and water that will make your insides melt. No way no how I let my players walk into that.
I lived in china for.two years and i can say from first hand experience that many players will have lots of chinese women having bastard anchor babies Lol.

The former players are suing for concussions now. I guess they'll be suing for black lung from playing in China

China can be a place the Rams play some day, but for fucks sake, give them a rest next year from playing an international game.
