btw, it's a heated field:

Nine inches below the root zone, more than 20 miles of ¾-inch plastic tubing circulates warm water and glycol (to prevent freezing), in a radiant heating system that extends the grass’ growing season. It also helps melt snow and keep the ground from freezing, so the surface remains pliable.

You know it. I still have a hard time wanting the viqueens to win ANY game.

Us senior Ram fans know weather can be a big deal!!! We remember the heartbreaking losses to the Vikings up there in Bloomington, MN.

Anyone with me on that? Man...I HATED THE VIKES BACK THEN!!!

Here's a pic of my pickup right now as it's sowing in ChicagoView attachment 74133
Why did you have to engage my PTSD over the "Mud Bowl??"

That's why last year was so gratifying. Any time we beat the Queens, I drink ale in large quantities.

I hate this game is in Chicago. Cold is bad enough but snow will make it a bitch. We just have never faired well in these types of games.
We are gonna have to run the ball well, IMO.

I live in SoCal. It was almost 80 degrees at their practice facility today. We're talking about a 70 degree DECREASE. But as the late great George Allen used to say before games in Minn or GB, "it's Ram weather".

Let's not judge the outside ambient temperature to the field temperature.... Field temperatures are typically warmer and just below freezing on the field if the ambient outside weather is 5-10 degrees F

I'm actually surprised that the NFL would let players play at 10-12 degrees or below because at that point it's bad for the lungs. Which is why if the field temps are at freezing (32 degrees) .... it's a go.
