I won't care if Bradford ends up being the first...Who was the last QB to come back from 2 ACLs in two years?
Has any NFL QB had 2 acl injuries in 2 years? Serious question.Who was the last QB to come back from 2 ACLs in two years?
Exactly, no one is saying that at all. I don't know why some choose to read selectively. Some think that many of us are saying bring back Bradford and let the season hinge on him being healthy again when that simply isn't the case. Bring Bradford back AND draft a QB early. If Bradford can stay healthy, then the Rams will have a good QB under center. If the rookie beats out Bradford, then the Rams will have a good QB under center. There won't be any franchise type QBs available in free agency, so this our only option, really.I won't care if Bradford ends up being the first...
But I don't think anyone here is advocating bringing Bradford back next year and declaring the QB issue solved.
I don't think I "know" that Bradford's production isn't what the Rams need. I agree that he needs to find a way to stay on the field but his ability isn't in question for me. His numbers and the team's record with him as starter aren't a direct correlation of his ability and what he could do with a better team around him.Well this is all speculation. All we know for a fact is the production, record and all the rest isn't what this Rams team needs. It needs a leader that can stay on the field and help them win games.
Bradford has certainly proven he isn't that guy.
I don't agree with that. I'd much rather see a FA with some starting experience than drafting the 2nd, 3rd or lower QB available in a seemingly weak draft class.Exactly, no one is saying that at all. Well, no QB hasnt not come back from 2 ACL in 2 years either...Who was the last QB to come back from 2 ACLs in two years?

In truth Bradford has better QB skills than Davis also in truth Davis is more mobile than Bradford so odds are Bradford might have about the same sack count as what his skills might have him escaped some Davis could not have however Davis mobility had him escape some Bradford could not have. One thing is for sure this is all speculation by us as history can only record what has been done not what we think would have happened.
However history has already recorded when Bradford is sacked between 5-6% of the time he drops back he is a 7 game winner for the season and greater than that his win record becomes worse. So my guess is with what our line is giving up we would be about the same record. Of course pure speculation as ya have to actually play the games for history to count it and be reality.
I'm not saying draft a QB early just to draft one. Drafting one early for me is making the assumption that there will be a good QB available in the first 3 rounds of the draft that Fisher/Snead likes a lot. No way am I saying draft one just to do it, that would be stupid no matter what position it is.Actually, I wouldn't even mind if the team didn't draft a QB early if the team can't get their guy. I'd hope that they would just draft another highly rated position player. It makes little sense to me for the team to draft a QB just to say they drafted one early. If he isn't there guy and/or he sucks, the problem at the position still exists.
You would rather see one of this year's FAs battle it out with Bradford at training camp? Have you seen the list? Other than Hoyer (who will likely end back up in Cleveland), who do you propose the Rams sign to compete? And you would rather have them in here over a Connor Cook or Bret Hundley? Yeah, me neither.I don't agree with that. I'd much rather see a FA with some starting experience than drafting the 2nd, 3rd or lower QB available in a seemingly weak draft class.
I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Moore as a contingency plan. There might be others, I haven't looked too deeply. You would rather see one of this year's FAs battle it out with Bradford at training camp? As a contingency plan, I like both of those names.I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Moore as a contingency plan. There might be others, I haven't looked too deeply.
As far as the draft, we don't know who will even be in the draft, much less who will be there when the Rams pick. Pretty sure Cook's already said he's going back to school and Mariota and Winston might too. Regardless of which one('s) might be in the draft, I'd rather go with a FA with some experience and some possible upside than taking a QB in the first or second round in 2015.
Mike Glennon's another name that is attainable that would be an acceptable competitor for Bradford and solid contingency if he had to start. I think Moore and Glennon have both shown potential and neither would be starting from absolute scratch.

ahhh the old familiar ramblings of Legend....good to see ya round these parts ...stop by more often, will ya
If he plays and doesn't get injured,I do believe it is resolvedI won't care if Bradford ends up being the first...

Well what I was saying is that even though I want Bradford back, I want the Rams to draft a QB early for a "Plan 1A" as opposed to this year where Bradford basically WAS the plan.If he plays and doesn't get injured,I do believe it is resolved
