Jackson has now had two incidents. Granted, I am sure there is more to this story, however, Jackson needs to understand touching women or children is taboo.

Rams need to ensure they have better depth at this position.

Way to go man. One of the few players the rams absolutely could not afford to lose. Even if he ends up getting in no legal trouble you have to imagine the NFL is going to punish him since it is his second incident.

The District Attorney can still drop charges before they ever reach a Pre-Trial Hearing. And what happened to being innocent until proven guilty?

Pretty much gone. Allegation is all you need.

The woman who sued him for the incident two years ago lost in court - case dismissed.

Yet the NFL considers this his second offense - and will punish him accordingly.

And before y'all go off, I'm a believer in "where there's smoke"...but sometimes seems like frontier justice.

Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern.

This one, so far, seems like a pretty minor case of domestic violence. Scratching someone's arm while trying to grab their phone is a nothing burger IMO.

  • Taylor Decker: The highly experienced former Lion is holding out for a starting role and provides elite, veteran blindside protection.
  • Cam Robinson: A seasoned 29-year-old tackle with over 100 NFL starts, highly coveted for immediate bridge or depth needs.
  • Mekhi Becton: Offers immense physical upside (\(6^{\prime}7^{\prime \prime}\), 363 lbs) with starting experience at both tackle and guard. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Becton is slow for a LT. Still, he is a monster in the run game. Had some injuries last year. I would check him out. If the Rams have to go into survival mode and go to the run, he would be helpful.

We don't know much at the moment. Simply stupid shit to allow something like this to happen.....meaning an arrest....particularly when you've already affected the roster with health issues.

Blood clots : >>>>>>> concern for the player
This kinda shit: >>>>>>> concern for the team

Nice to have a UDFA playing LT (very well) but....

Shit like this (if he actually had done something serious) should give teams HUGE cap relief.
We gave the kid 18 mil last year; he'll get almost 20 mil this year and next year; and he makes the papers via the crime log?
You get 57 mil (and a guaranteed 35 mil) for 3 years, you ought to be able to insulate yourself from this type of problem.
Gotta really be dumb

Hope it's all bogus

But I gotta remember, just like acquiring Garrett guaranteed the Rams nothing but an excellent chance to win a Super Bowl, losing Alaric Jackson shouldn't guarantee anything in the opposite direction. It's not even mid-June yet.

Hell look at Becton and Decker. We could use one of them or both!
Rams have Dealt players for less stupid things. Looks like he will be outta here soon. Health issues and now a possible Felony after the stupid shit last year? Jesus Christ!

Robinson was ranked 83rd out of 89 qualifying tackles with a with a pass blocking grade of 56.2. Becton was worse and that was at guard.

Taylor Decker would be the obvious choice, but expensive, however, if Jackson is going to be out of action this would be the best option.

Agreed, Decker isn't great anymore but he's the only free agent out there who I'd consider at least average. Everyone else would give me nightmares. Decker is a savvy vet too and I'd trust him to know when he's beat and try and sneak a hold in. Whatever keeps Stafford from getting hit full steam.

Becton seems to get injured a lot. Still, he is one of scariest looking humans I've ever seen. And, he's slimmed down - he used to come in at 380lb.

He was Stafford's LT for 5 years before the trade to L.A....

On March 6, 2026, Decker requested the Lions release him and released a statement explaining his reasoning on his personal Instagram account,

"Things change, 145 games started, 3 playoff appearances, 2 division titles, a decade carrying the shield. I fully intended to do it once again, but my time as a Lion is coming to an end. In the weeks since notifying the team of my return there have been numerous discussions. Many of which were a surprise to me, and we could not find common ground. Therefore I decided to request my release."

He was officially released on March 9.

He's averaged 15 mil per the last 5 years and the dead cap hit on the Lions was under 10 mil.
