I'm better now. Listened to Christmas music all day, staying far away from sports talk. Ours was not the only upset this weekend. And now I see many polls are showing the Putriots rated number one? PLEASE! I would love to slam them in the Super Bowl. Revenge would be sweet.

What kind of Christmas music? I gotta say, there's a lot of songs I genuinely have fondness for (just not around Thanksgiving or after Christmas/Boxing Day). I love Carol of the Bells by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, love Baby, It's Cold Outside (I know I shouldn't like it, but it's just so damn catchy), and I'll admit that I fucking love All I Want for Christmas is You. I know that last song isn't to some people's tastes, but it just reminds me of why I love the winter holidays (I'm ethnically Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas with my mom's and dad's families, respectively.); it's about the people around us.

Right now, though? It's Once Upon a December (sung by Liz Callaway from Anastasia. Don't shame me; I loved that movie as a child.) on my iPhone on repeat. She just has an outstanding voice and cadence (and it helps that she plays the Speaker of God in Hazbin Hotel, which is part of the Hellaverse, which is my jam as a TV show at the moment).

Sorry for rambling.

Deacon Jones turned me into a Rams fan. He was the best DE I have ever seen. But the feeling I have today of the Rams crushing me is one that I have felt so many times before. I think the Rams begin believing the talking heads who say they are the best team in the NFL. I hope this loss is a wakeup call, but I am not confident.

Thanks ramsondemand for letting me vent.

It's time for the Rams to be pissed off, run the table, get the #1 seed and win the Super Bowl.

Last Superbowl run, the Cardinals gave us our first loss of the year. Completely whooped us. They were hot, but so were we. This game feels similar. If we play the Panthers 100 times, we'd win 90 of them.
Just a handful of key plays.
Stafford getting careless again was one....pic six....Young making a great throw to throw the WR open for the last TD when Forbes had good coverage and under cut the route....sometimes, the other team makes plays. They get paid too.
So it goes.
If the Rams lose the Cards I will be concerned, until then.....naw.

The Rams have played down to their competition for years, nothing new.
They didn't play down...... Stafford showed he was finally human.... well too human for all of our liking last Sunday. The Panthers are an above average / good team and we were playing in their house in shit weather.

As always having a few days to calm down and have an actual coherent take, the fact that the Panthers needed three takeaways and basically play a perfect game just to squeak by the Rams actually makes me more confident for the season going forward.

Stafford having a bad game "is" playing down. The ball getting ran down our throats is the same as is letting them get 2 TDs on 4th fucking down.
Just because we did not get smoked does not mean we didn't play down, we did.
