I don't think there has been a season yet where a team didn't eventually volunteer. Unfortunately, I doubt the NFL wants the Rams on this anyway. Small market and probably one of the smallest fan bases out there. GODell is all about ratings!!
Hard Knocks is going to have people watching regardless.

I may be mistaken, but I thought I remembered Fisher saying something about how he doesn't like cameras in the locker room when asked about the post game taping that goes on sometimes. Then I think Chris Long backed him up by saying something like, "That's our time. The players time." I'm not sure though.

Even so, they still might not be opposed to it. It would definitely help with post season hype. Idk if that would generate into sales.

Doesn't really look like they have a choice at this point.

Hard Knocks seasons and the team's season record after the fact:

2001 - Ravens: 10-6 (lost div)
2002 - Cowboys: 5-11
2007 - Chiefs: 4-12
2008 - Cowboys: 9-7
2009 - Bengals: 10-6 (lost wc)
2010 - Jets: 11-5 (lost conf)
2012 - Dolphins: 7-9
2013 - Bengals: 11-5 (lost wc)

I see no clear correlation between that show and the team's relative success (or lack thereof)
Cowboys(twice) only NFC team participant...hmmm.

I agree that it could be a natural disaster of entertainment for our Rams to get picked for this. No thanks.
I would've liked to have seen one of Linehans Rams teams invaded by cameras.

I know, right? Could have made a drinking game out of how many times the word "Goober" was used.

Yeah or the word "mmmk?"

My God i'd forgotten just how visibly in over his head Linehan had become in front of the press. Found this. Its poorly filmed but it gets the point across. :wow:

I think the "distraction" argument is very much an overblown media built argument.

The Jets made it to the AFC Championship with that distraction...not to mention with the "distraction" of a Revis holdout, Rex Ryan as coach, being in NY to start with, a young QB, etc, etc, etc.

I think it would be fun.

:heh:
