Maybe he should retire but I could see Tua as a vet-minimum option for the Rams should Garoppolo bolt.

I don’t know if I’d risk it. Though Minnesota may be interested. They have TJ to catch his passes. I think Minnesota fans would like the Hock Tua connection.

He's got a guaranteed 54 mill for 2026, and another 3 mill guaranteed in '27. He's not walking away from that.
You are right, he can take a vet minimum deal elsewhere and sit on a bench out of harms way and collected that cash

I get the thinking but......Oh hell no, I want no part of Tua. He's a concussion waiting to happen. Agree that he should retire though.
I hear you but like Dieter Brock mentioned, he won't retire because of lost revenue. Even if he wants to retire, he could sign as a back-up in hope of NOT playing, so that he can collect the guaranteed-$ from Miami.

Of course, few pro athletes think that way.

As for the Rams, I like having Garoppolo as the back-up but if he chooses to leave, I just want a solid veteran that can help the Rams win should Stafford go down for 2-6 games. Don't see Bennett as that guy.

Or he just doesn't sign with anyone and doesn't announce his retirement.

He can stay at home and collect his pay.
