Responsibility doesn’t infer risk as was inferred by “owners take all the financial risk”

Risk infers a chance of loss. When the chance of loss is essentially zero, it’s no longer risk management, but creating economic efficiencies using various financial instruments and leverage.

Comparing today to the 80s & 90s isn't a fair comparison. I could only watch 2 1:00 games and a 4:00 game on Sundays back then. Now I have the ability to still do that with no subscriptions. I do, however have the ability to watch every team's every game . No surprise that it costs more to do that. I have the choice to do exactly what I did back then, but having always been in a different time zone , I happily pay for Sunday ticket. Unlike in the past, I can now watch every Rams game. Nobody is forcing anybody to pay for anything. Complaining about choices we make seems a little silly to me.

Yeah, when I was growing up the Rams were very good in the late 70's & 80's. Back then, I could watch maybe 5 or 6 Rams games a year. A couple Monday Night games, maybe a Sunday Night game when ESPN started carrying those games in the late 80's. Then a couple of national broadcasts that didn't interfere with the Eagles or if the local channels decided to show Giants or Cowboys games.

I remember in 89', Rams at Niners. The Rams come from behind and win it late. Meanwhile, I was stuck watching some NFC East match up with two shitty teams, that were not even good that year. I recall being very pissed at the time.
