We are not drafting Simpson

It would be a huge surprise, albeit not impossible. I personally don't want any position where them playing this year likely depends on injury to a starter.

This is why you roll the dice on the most talented WR in the draft, who has no interview issues at all. By all accounts, he's a tough son of a bitch who is willing to play hurt to help his team win.

If Lemon interviewed well with the Rams, then I would want Lemon. His interview with the press scares me though.
I hear he's dropping. My unpopular stance is that I'm out on the WRs in the 1st round.

I'm looking, and feel the Rams are looking, for a difference maker. I'm not seeing any of the WRs, but Tyson, being that. And I wouldn't draft Tyson because of his injury risk.

I could mostly agree on that, but Fano is a special case. He might even be able to start over Shelton as he was taking reps at C. Most importantly however, if one of our OT's were to go down, he could play in their place and our season wouldn't be essentially over.

I'm of the opinion we are at least equal with our chances to take Simpson. I just don't see many folks suggest the Bucs, who I think should at least be top 5 in potential.
I think the issue though with the Bucs taking him is a massive need on the defensive front. Their edge rushers rival the Titans for the worst in the league. Add to that it would be very easy with their cap space to sign Baker to an extension. My biggest reason they will not take him is because this could be a last year for Bowles if they struggle again especially defensively. Then next year they bring in a new coach and his new QB, that just makes too much sense and to me takes them off the Simpson list.

"Tyson's tape is even better than Tate's"..........yeah that's why I'd take the chance if we get it to draft Tyson.
And it's funny to me so many people say we have to take a guy that contributes this year then say we should take Lemon. I get it again the tape is amazing but if it were my choice I wouldn't touch him at all.

There's a story that Tyson did this from WR coach, Hines Ward. Apparently Tyson had already popped his hamstring but went in back the game to ball out. Is that who you're talking about?

Do you think Lemon would not contribute this season?

Yes. Also, Kiper keeps bringing up that he played with a hurt hammy and injured his other hammy compensating for the injury.

If he can supplant Shelton immediately I could see that. But yeah, I'd hate to lose a chance at a super bowl because we drafted for the future instead of adding guys who can put us over the top right now.

Sorry typo was reading a text about Lemon I totally meant Tyson on that first part.

So you don't think Tyson would contribute this season? Adams and Puka sit out plays and he would be the 3rd WR, which is on the field a lot.

13. Los Angeles Rams (from ATL): Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

The Rams could go in several directions here, but wide receiver is the most fun outcome and makes sense for the organization long term. Plenty of evaluators around the league believe a fully healthy Tyson would be in the mix for WR1 in this class. That he was limited during the draft process might not matter as much to the Rams as it might for others.

13.

Makai Lemon, WR, USC

You might see Puka Nacua and Davante Adams on the Rams' depth chart and question them using a top-15 pick at receiver. But Adams turns 34 late in the 2026 season and is in the last year of his deal, and the receiver depth falls off dramatically after those two standouts. Besides, the Rams are again in win-now mode with quarterback Matthew Stafford on a year-to-year status at this point. General manager Les Snead has never shied away from going for it, and adding a tough-as-nails competitor with sure hands out of the slot could put this offense over the top in the team's quest for another Super Bowl.

61.

Josiah Trotter, LB, Missouri

Offensive line could be worth consideration. Maybe Florida center Jake Slaughter? Perhaps Iowa lineman Gennings Dunker? The value might be better in Round 3. Instead, let's get defensive coordinator Chris Shula another linebacker behind Nate Landman. Trotter had 183 tackles over the past two seasons.

Is he going to be healthy? Hasn't been a lot in college.

These injury concerns seem to be valid. I pulled the info below from AI, listing past notable draft prospects with hamstring issues prior to being drafted. Some went on to be real successful and some not so well. I really want Tyson for the Rams, but this info definitely raises concerns.
