I don't see us taking Branch in the first, we can split hairs on size but I just don't see it.
I think if we go WR in the first it will be a guy who is more competive at the catch point or is a physical mismatch.
I watched Branch when he was here @SC and a bit at Georgia, he is an electric returner but as a receiver he was best in space or running by people.
I see this version of the offense valuing guys that battle for the ball and can run and this draft has a few of them.

Jesus fuck. Didn't realize Mauigoa had a back issue. Shit was already thin enough in our pick range.
Pretty sure he still started every game, may have just been something minor, like when my old ass takes a bad step getting out of bed and pays for it for 3 days.

I wouldn't discount Branch because of his size. He's an inch taller (allegedly) and 30 lbs heavier than TuTu was when we drafted him and he has a background in return duties which TuTu didn't have. I don't think the comparison is a good one.

Where I have a problem is that his draft projection is 2nd round. I wouldn't be in favor of taking him anywhere near that early. I'm thinking of him as a return specialist - not a potential #2 or 3 receiver.

Today's SI Mock with all 1st Round trades. I think the consensus here will like it: Rams move down from 13 to 21 and pick up TWO 3rds.

He's not the only person with that opinion.

I saw a video where some draft guy named Jonah Tuls has Hood, Delane, and McCoy as the 10th, 11th, and 12th ranked players in the draft overall (He said McCoy would be top 5 if not for durability concerns).

He said that he really values players that have that click and close and is strong in off man coverage. He also believes he's the best run defender at the position in the draft. He stated that Delane is the smartest and best zone CB in the draft, though.

I guess it also doesn't help that Delane is smaller and doesn't have prototypical arm length.
I guess it will be proven on draft day who teams think is better, and it will be Delane by perhaps a round. Hood was getting cooked at the senior bowl also. I don't even have him as my 3rd CB.

Bueno if it gets Cooper. Then use The R2 and 3 R3 picks to wheel and deal for 2-3 other significant contributors.

Welp, there goes THAT dream, Sadiq wont be there at 13 for us....

He's a better Tight End than these guys will be Receivers.....

I don't think this guys take is influencing any teams draft board.
I love this draft for us, especially after the FA pick ups. We have a lot of flexibility and if we stay at 13 we could easily grab another starter making it 3 for this off-season. That's a healthy upgrade on an already great team.

Yeah, I wouldn't say he was getting cooked, but I admit I wasn't all that impressed with Hood at the senior bowl practice.

Regarding Branch, I don't think anyone was advocating for him to be the Rams 1st round pick.

McVay needs to get over these smaller WRs
Yeah, Snead too.
He was involved with selecting both Tavon Austin (even trading up from 16 to 8 in order to get him} and the Tutu Atwell choice.
Please ........... no more far undersized WO's OR CB's on the roster.
Unless of course, his name is Barry Sanders.

He's got 12 pounds on current tutu. Tutu weighed 149 at the draft lol

What was crazy about Tavon is how bad his luck was…like how many TDs were run back and flagged away from the play?

That day he had over 300 all purpose yards was wild and showed his ceiling, but under Fisher? No chance.

Interesting. If we are trying to trade back and grab Cooper, would be tough to trust he would be there below the Jets at 16
If he’s your only target, you take him at 13. Even if you think he still might be there upon a trade back.

You only trade back if you like multiple guys and you know one of those guys will still be on the board.
