I get your point, but I just want to point out that Tutu could actually play. He just wasn't a fit after the selection was made. Just like actual Desean who left in the middle of a Super Bowl season.

What a horrible take. You'd think he would be happy Tyson might take coverage away from him and he would be able to get better numbers. They wouldn't trade him if he's a complete stud.
But no, all he's worried about is the short term money situation. Ahh well, he doesn't have to worry about it anymore.

I think Jackson fit perfectly. He just didn't like his role as the deep threat and #3 target. But he was on pace to give us about what Demarcus Robinson gave us every year.

Being constructively critical does not equate to disloyalty. Blindly rooting for a team with blinders on only makes you a drone. Why not just put on a cheerleader outfit and spell out S-I-M-P-S-O-N if you're going to be Pollyana about all things Rams? Imagine how much better the team would be if prime opportunities were not squandered, but nevermind, I'll have what you're having and clap on while sitting in my own drool.

You act like any guy they picked at 13 would for sure be a stud. There's a decent chance whomever was picked would be a bust...or disappointment. Nobody knows which of these 32 guys (or picks 2nd - 7th round) will turn out to be successful....nor have an immediate impact.
Further, rookies do not usually make the difference on a Super Bowl team. It's very rare. Especially on a team like the Rams that do not have a whole anywhere for them to start. They are drafting a backup regardless. Granted that position player backup is likely going to contribute this year some (if he pans out)....but nowhere immediately. Even Love would be behind Williams. Styles maybe, but even he would need to beat out the starter.
You know who will make the biggest difference on the field in 2026 from the 1st round picks? McDuffie. Nobody else will come close.
Simpson better work out as I said before. It's inexcusable for Snead to put personal relationships above the team's best interests. His draft track record with premium picks is already supbar. Yeah, he's doing well overall, but I also remember that 60% of active players or some such majority percentage either were drafted as a Day 3 selection or undrafted, so other teams are also doing well in that regard, especially our rivals, the San Francisco 49ers. If we're going to miss, we're arguably better off missing with the lower-end picks than the premium ones since, by definition, we'd be getting better quality talent in return.
The Rams last one a Super Bowl with AD and Kupp on the team and neither of them are on the team anymore. Remember, how for the majority of AD's career, he was triple-teamed because the team could draft or sign enough quality players for the defensive line. Some of that was on Fisher but that shortcoming continued on after the mustached era. Nacua is another great pick but he's dealing with legal issues and checked himself into rehab while DaVante Adams if fighting Father Time. Not to mention our offensive line needs to start being replaced. Plenty of things to address for 2027 and beyond and there's no room or even point to just focusing on the fact that we're the favorites to win it all next season.
I agree with this..... IF that is the main reason we took Simpson. We have no way of knowing if that is the case.
Snead has definitely whiffed on "his" guys in the first round before. Ahem, Greg Robinson, ahem.... If McVay wasn't 1000% on board with this pick, then I would be nervous. McVay > Snead when it comes to importance to this team..... and it isn't close to me.
#3 WR is a hole - I sure hope they have a plan for it in the 2nd or 3rd round.
I have seen them skip other holes in the past - Center being the prime example after 2018
