Still think they should get a commitment from Stafford to play through the '27 season with a team option for '28. Don't go with that year to year stuff. I think he can play till he's 40. And I don't think he'd demand a contract like Prescott, Allen, Burrow, etc. Probably would want more guaranteed money.

Use the picks to draft OT and CB. Actually, if there's a legit first round talent game breaker type running back, I'd consider using a pick on one. Someone like a Gibbs or Bijan Robinson.

There is. Check out Notre Dame Running Back, Love.

IDK, every year the next draft class is the best. One of the reasons the Rams made the move was because the 2026 draft class was going to be spectacular. Now, 2027, soon, 2028. In the end, they just need to find their guy and make the pick. Plus regardless of people posting that teams are not going to trade future 1st round picks, well, you always run into a GM/HC that are desperate and will make a move thinking they are going to save their jobs.
IDK, some classes are considered down classes beforehand, too.

Future 1st round picks are typically traded for established players or when teams move up for a QB.

The two trades last year were an anomaly. And, to date. both look pretty bad for the teams giving them up.

The Rams trade with Atlanta is the exact reason teams won’t want to do the same thing
Copycat league and all that

They've got two easy games ahead with Saints and Jets unfortunately. All though Drake London hurt his knee at end of game (RIP my fantasy team) and while they think he avoided a major injury it sounds like he'll be out a few games. He's basically their offense in the passing game. If Penix is out and you got Cousins playing without much in the way of receivers it could get ugly even against bad teams. Fingers crossed.
And if Cousins has any injury issues, then you may be inside top 5. Although, the top 5 teams may not win more than one more game, so pick 6 or 7 might be the ceiling.

Falcons have the Saints twice, Jets and Cardinals. With the injuries there's no guarantee they win all 4. But those are the bottom of the league teams. If they go 2-2 against them, odds are they finish 5-12 because the other 3 games are the Seahawks, Rams and Bucs. A team in that position sitting at 3-7 with the injuries might consider tanking. But without a first round pick they really have no incentive for that. Unless they want a higher second and 3rd round pick.

Can you imagine this Rams team winning the Super Bowl plus holding 2 first rounders including possibly a first rounder in the top 10?
It's basically football nerd heaven. Can't really get better than that being a champion and then immediately getting to fantasize about drafting the best players declaring. Talk about the best offseason ever... I hope we get to experience it.
Hell, even trading back a few spots and getting a 2nd next year still adds firepower for a trade up in 27'. That is also a very real possibility.
I was thinking about that the other day... what if the Falcons completely fall apart and we get a top5 pick.. hell even a top 3 pick (lol I know). Stafford commits to a couple more years with the way he's playing and the Rams are able to trade that 1st rounder for a buttload of picks including multiple 1st rounders in future years. Would be hilarious. Probably unlikely but possible now.
