That would have helped up this year, instead of giving up 30 points to the packers, our DC could have actually prepared our guys for the game!

Just bring back original onside kicks. It's football, gotta let em smack each other up a bit.
Right on!
For "player safety" they basically eliminated onside kicks which happens what? 20-30 times in a season?
But lets add a whole game and some 150-200 plays per game

How about a rule that doesn't allow the NFL to change the rules every year to appease "that particular group over there" after a season where things didn't go their way.

Yeah... and let's give credit where credit is due.

That new rule must be called The Asshole Face Rule.

How about we make it like Rollerball, no penalties, limited substitutions and no disqualifications.

I don't like this idea at all.
You need to earn the right to put the offense back on the field.
Make it 4th & 20, but even then a PI or def hold can hand a team a first down... And I bet teams could scheme things up to try to draw those type penalties.

Yeah. That one has potential issues.

For starters, they better have a plan to deal with how it could be used to manipulate timeout burning. Surprise a team running that unit out there, etc.

And... this;

Teams will scheme up stuff.

Sounds like BS ball.

Might as well make a rule for Bellicheat and the Cheats.

“Cheatriots submitting proposal to make their unofficial video crew official giving them the right to film whatever they want in a game for fan experience reasons in Foxborough”

I don't like this rule at all, somehow I see the Rams getting hosed by this rule.

I was going to suggest what Philly Ram said, but he beat me to it. Plus added a freaking important factor like DPI. I thought, what's harder....converting a 4th and 15 (or 20) or recovering an onside kick? No thanks.

Here's an idea. Instead of a 4th and 15 or 20 or 25 yard play. They can attempt a 65 yard FG with the defense pressuring them. They hit it, they get the ball at their own 35. Or like somebody else said, just bring back the original onside kick.
