Looking back over 2017 I think the one play that most defined the season was the sack of Chris Long on Jared with the game on the line. Why was it the most season-defining play? Because it directly led to Philly winning that game and eventually retaining home field advantage on the way to the Super Bowl. Before that game the Rams were 1-1 (ok goin off memory here) vs the eventual playoff field and a win at home vs Philly might have dramatically changed things going into the playoffs.
Not being negative here, either. It was an amazing season, one of the best in memory for us IMO. And great growth/lesson for Jared going into this season. That the strip sack came at the hands of former Ram Chris Long, with former Ram Rodney McLeod scooping the critical turnover, and eventually losing at the hands of former Rams QB Nick Foles... Well it just feels like destiny or something at work.
