Some good lists here!

My "Most Watchable" list is totally different from my "All Time Favorite movie list" -- so my list is based on what I always get hooked on while flipping channels

1
Bridge on the River Kwai - drop me in wherever and I will rewatch. Perfect escapism and adventure viewing

2
Devil Wears Prada - This movie sucks me into watching it now matter when it's on - maybe it's cause it's made really well for what it is and I don't have to think much - and there are beautiful women throughout and you can watch it with your girl, anyway....... I never expected to like it, and not sure if I really do "like" it more than I can watch it over and over again when it comes in TBS. Meryl Streep is awesome in this

3
LA Confidential - when i see this pop up on he menu my hair stand up on end

That's about it.

The Big Lebowski
Pulp Fiction
Goodfellas
3 O'Clock High
Guardians of the Galaxy (not the sequel)
Napoleon Dynamite
Urban Cowboy
Ip Man
Full Metal Jacket
Inglourious Basterds
Troy
Halloween (Rob Zombie)
Grease
Tombstone
Any Schwarzenegger movie.

Probably a lot more.

That's a fun list. You have several on there that almost made mine. Half, come to think if it.

Goodfellas I really thought about. That shoulda been an honorable mention for me.

Another vote for Alien/Aliens definitely.
Rogue One

Also, randomly, Zombieland which I love

Just saw Zombieland and LOVED it.

That's now the second movie with Jessie Eisenberg that I loved (the other being American Ultra...also the first Kristen Stewart movie that I liked). Can't seem to stand him in anything else, including the Now You See Me movies.

Pulp Fiction
Tommy Boy
Tombstone
Crimson tide
Godfathers I and II
Big Lebowski
Weird Science
Dumb and Dumber
Revenge of the Nerds I AND II....that's right....that crap holds up.

All I can think of right now....

OMG, how did I forget Weird Science??? One of my dad's friends from his karate days in SoCal in the early 60s, DeMitch Davis was in it. He's the bartender who says to Robert Downey, Jr when he asks for a drink straight up, "how about I give you this...straight...up your ass" Him and his douchey buddy walk away slowly. Seen that movie a bajillion times. It's a number!

And Tommy Boy....hooo boy. "Fat man in a little coat..." also... "BEEEEEEES!!!"

Boondock Saints. Probably not the sequel.
Princess Bride
Avengers
Deadpool

There's more that I like and want to watch again, but I don't for lack of time.

I can't believe I didn't include the Princess Bride. I oughtta be horsewhipped for that.

Just about the best movie, ever. Excellent call!

Trying to not repeat any:
Shawshank Redemption
Bull Durham
Major League
The Crow
Snatch

Shawshank is definitely another that I just forgot about and should have made my list!

That was the point of the list. It's amazing that there are some movies that maybe wouldn't be close to your favorites, but man, you see it on and you're like..."yeah, I'll watch that..again..." and enjoy it.

I totally see what you're saying about "The Devil Wears Prada". Very fun movie and Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep are just perfect in it.

LA Confidential? Well, that's on my favorites list. One of the things that can keep a movie off of my "watchable" list is "can I be interrupted"? Not with LA Confidential. Someone interrupts me watching that and I'm cranky...at best. So intense and just a fantastic movie.

HOLY COW!!! I love the Music Man, but I can never find it. Used to know all the music and would sing along. My favorite musical and it's not close. Robert Preston is also one of my favorites.

And Arthur was a massive oversight on my part. We quote that movie all the time and when I wanna do something nice for the wife, I'll find that and put it on and we'll watch it together.

Man, I'm glad I posted this.

It's really interesting to see what others like (and I find there are ones I forgot).

Also, not a single bad movie's been listed. And that's cool.

Adding a couple that not everyone has heard of

The Thin Red Line -- came out about the same time as Saving Private Ryan and I liked it more than SPR.

Sicario -- I'd never heard of Denis Villeneuve before seeing this movie.

Along that vein, the one that gets me the most is Hacksaw Ridge. That was some of the bravest stuff I've ever seen and what's funny is that they had to DOWNPLAY what he did because they thought his actual heroism wouldn't seem believable. As in, he did that same thing multiple times before finally being wounded.

Only reason it didn't make my list is because I've only had a chance to see it once, but I feel that eventually it'll make it right next to Taking Chance.

Every single Christmas that I can remember since it was made... I pull out our Christmas vacation DVD and we all watch it together. Usually on Christmas Eve or the day before that.

We laugh our asses off every time we watch it.
Same here, but we do it after Thanksgiving dinner to kick off the Holiday Season

A lot of great movies listed here.
in addition to some great picks, I'll add Jerry McGuire, Braveheart and any Clint Eastood Western. Especially Outlaw Jose Wells.
Another movie that is underrated was Nacho Libre. Jack Black is so funny in this.

You just reminded me.

Unforgiven.

Just rewatched it last night and it reaffirmed that Clint Eastwood is my favorite director and it's not close.

For someone who played tough guys, he's got a gentleness and vulnerability to his directing that is just... astonishing.

I just rewatched Grand Torino and that's easily on my top, favorite 100 list.

But yeah...Unforgiven is a masterpiece and yet another that should be on my most watchable list.

Good call on the Eastwood tip.
