I am baking a small sliced ham in brown sugar, honey, mustard for dollar roll sandwiches.

Just like this, but a tad saucier...

Also some pigs in blanket.

Clogged arteries at 9pm.

I'm already envious of @ozarkram that looks amazing, but today's menu is Jamaican Jerk Chicken with stir fry vegetables and fresh coleslaw and if prepared right, it will clear your sinuses for days.

Careful with that stuff! Last year we made some Jerk chicken on a hunting trip. The jerk came via a jar of Marinade (a paste like marinade diluted with water and olive oil) Anyway we used most of the 12 ounce jar. and let it sit overnight. Grilled it the next day and the chicken was so hot we all sweated profusely while eating. But we didnt stop, we were to effin hungry.

For the next two days we proceed to ruin every hunting spot in the woods because we could not stop shitting. Apparently, we were supposed to use one tablespoon per pound.

Needless to say....but we saw no deer those 3 days.

I usually go with my own recipe....

  • 8 -10 pieces of legs and thighs
  • 1 lemon/lime
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • ½ tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme

Got the Texas Brisket in the crockpot. Beans are soaking going to add some bbq seasoning.
Texas Toast will make its way to the oven.
Friends are bringing macaroni salad and other sides.
Hopefully a victory bourbon and cigar for dessert.

Starting out with Chorizo bean and egg burritos.

Soon to be followed by plenty of cold beer.
The rest I'm playing by ear and emotion

I too went egg w/ black beans, red peppers & Jalapeños burrito's for breakie. I'm looking at the clock and my ass isn't moving so i think I will go spicy Beef nacho's. Its easy and quick to make. Half the prep is already done this morning.

I kinda envy some of those spreads... I haven't felt up to cooking this entire season, but if it means a win, I'll take my oatmeal and like it!!!

Had eggs, bacon, and hash brown for breakfast. Nothing special, but I’m going to grill some flank steak, and make carne asada to go with the green salsa I made yesterday.
