QB -

Forget the erroneous exchange between Foles and Barnes. Forget the fumble six. This grade is for the two touchdowns, one on the ground and one through the air, and the timeliness of his performance. On the game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter, the Rams converted four of four on third downs. Three of them were passes. While the Kendricks TD is more memorable, a 3rd and 15 conversion to Kenny Britt was perhaps more important.

RB -

Benny Cunningham quietly had a fine game largely on the back of some important yardage in the receiving game. The line struggled to open much up in the running game, but Benny ran hard in the absence of Todd Gurley and Tre Mason. On his performance, this would be a B+................but..................................

WR -

There wasn't a ton of quantity here, but the quality was strong. The wideouts accounted for just 12 of the 27 targets from QB Nick Foles. Kenny Britt's receptions were timely. Stedman Bailey had a great over the shoulder grab on Foles' best pass of the game. Tavon Austin shined brighter with a punt return TD and a rushing TD, but kept the defense honest even if referee Jeff Triplette didn't throw a flag when he got mauled in the end zone by CB Richard Sherman.

Jared Cook and Lance Kendricks career performance. This is extremely my ish.

O-line -

Marginally imperfect in the pass game, arguably abysmal in the run game. Throw in Barnes' missnap that switched possession and a Rodger Saffold false start, and there is much room to improve. To be here and not be pointing at the inexperience of RT Rob Havenstein and LG Jamon Brown is inspiring though.

D-Line -

Six sacks with DT Aaron Donald and DE Robert Quinn each notching a pair. The former was the best player on the field yesterday. AD99 is an absolute monster.

LB -

Buoyed by the line play, this group helped limit Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch to a pretty pedestrian box score line of 18 carries for 75 yards without finding the end zone. All in all, they did a solid job of keeping Russell Wilson in check as well.

DB -

Russell Wilson threw 32 completed passes on 41 attempts. If I told you that was going to happen before the game, nobody would believe he would accrue just 251 yards on those. The gameplan was to keep everything bottled up the middle. It worked. Health is an issue moving into the workweek with Trumaine Johnson concussed and Lamarcus Joyner hobbled, but things should be alright for the trip to Washington. Based on this performance, that's a very good thing.

Special Teams -

This is the hardest grade of the group, as is often the case with specials. Take away the Tyler Lockett punt return TD, and it's pretty much a perfect game with a Tavon Austin punt return TD, solid punting from P Johnny Hekker and a flawless, albeit unchallenging, game for K Greg Zuerlein with no other damage coming on kick and punt coverage teams...but you can't take the Lockett TD away. If we can assume it was an anomaly, this group looks ready to help carry the team yet again this season.

Coaching - ...............................................

Unbelievable, really. The game plan on both sides of the ball was on point. Four penalties. And compared to how the Seahawks were managed, give credit where it's due. The execution was lacking at times. The marching orders were, implausibly, perfect.

Speaking of LBs that reminded me... The Ogletree stop of Wilson on that rollout was clutch. So many plays like that yesterday by this team but that one in particular was huge. If I recall correctly through my beer haze there was a LOT of open green had AO whiffed on him.
